| Grand Opening 02/10/10 New Harris Teeter Fairfax, VA Store Hi,
For all you N VA'ers. just thought I would post that the NEW Grand Opening of the HT Fairfax, VA store will be Wednesday, 02/10/10. When I was at the Reston, VA HT today shopping after going to Trader Joe's, one of my friendly managers told me when the NEW store would open. Of course, I asked for info.
Anyway, since my twins have a mild allergy that requires a new prescription every 30 days, I take advantage of when HT has their NEW GRAND OPENING stores. For each, NEW PRESCRIPTION REFILL OR NEW PRESCRIPTION, you receive a $20 credit on your VIC Card. I stagger their 30 day prescriptions with our mail order 90 day refills. It works for us.
So when the South Riding/Chantilly, VA store opened months ago, I was able to have $100 worth ($20 credit for each prescription) on my VIC Card. You can use this $20 credit for groceries, etc. It comes in handy to stagger these credits for Triples and Super Doubles.
This Grand Opening special usually lasts 2 months or so. Just see your pharmacies for details.
Thought this would help--

| Re: Grand Opening 02/10/10 New HT Fairfax, VA Store It should. What I do is go the Grand Opening store (i.e. South Riding/Chantilly, VA store), and then fill my new or refill prescriptions. After the $20 credit in scanned for my VIC Card, you can use that $20 credit at ANY HT store.
Luckily for us, our co-pays for each person is $20 with insurance. For us, it is a wash. For each new refill or new prescription, the $20 credit pays for our co-pays. You just have to fill/refill a new prescription at the Grand Opening store that is sponsoring this special. For example, go to the Fairfax, VA Grand Opening store, fill/refill your prescriptions and have the Pharmacy scan your VIC Card. Be sure to ask for a receipt from the Pharmacy proving that you have received your $20 credit on your VIC Card. It is automatically uploaded to your VIC Card as soon as you pay your co-pays or your prescription amount due.
Also, pickup a flyer from the Pharmacy as a reminder of when the program starts and ends. Usually they do this for 2 or 3 months. I put it on my fridge magnet clip as a reminder. You can use the VIC Card $20 credit anytime. Just be sure to use it before the special program deadline.
Maybe we will have Triples/Super Doubles this week. Hope so. Any problems with the $20 credit, ask your store managers for help.
Hope this helps--

| Re: Grand Opening 02/10/10 New HT Fairfax, VA Store Foodie (or anyone else with experience),
Since you sound like you have done the Rx deal a few times; do you mind if I ask you a question.
I have 3 - $20 credits on my VIC card right now. I have already used one, so I know as soon as the cashier hits total...it takes the $20 off. Since I don't usually spend $20 after coupons...I keep doing small purchases under $20 to not use one of my "3" free $20.
Tomorrow, I have to go over $20 to get my GM things that I want...my plan puts me at $34 -$20 - $5 GM and then coupons brings me down to $1.11 plus tax. I am sure this will just use one credit since my total is not over $40.
My question...if I cross $40 would it use 2 credits or take $40 off. I am scared to do it without knowing because I wouldn't be able to use all my Qs without planning it that way:) I have a $10/$50 coupon I'd love to work in but they won't take that unless the total is $50 after coupons and if they will take off all 3 of my $20 credits I'll never get the bill over $50 to use the coupon:(
Any thoughts as to how they actually come off would be helpful.
Thanks a bunch!

Anyone else had this experience also? If so, I'd love to have the additional confirmations:)
