Harris Teeter ~ Brag: "Secret Code" gift cards

This morning when I checked out the cashier told me to go to the customer service desk that I had qualified for my gift cards. I was confused and thought I had missed a new promo. I got to the cs desk and the csm kept looking at the receipt. There was nothing on there anywhere about gift cards. Finally the cashier, who was the assistant csm came over and pointed towards the bottom where it talked about HT Fish department. She said that is the "secret code" for the past holiday gift card promo. She said they are doing this now for customers who had missed it by a week or 2. I was then asked which 2 $25 gift cards I would like. Made my morning, especially after saving $82.

so is this at all stores then? we should look for anything about the ht fish dept?? TIA!

I guess it would depend on the store and the cashier. This morning my receipt shows thank you for redeeming your gift card twice.

Do u know what prompted the gift cards? Is there anything that we need to purchase? Yesterday i noticed on some of my receipts that i have 13 of 15 Sub points or something like that, no clue what that's about

the sub points are acquired when puchasing subs in the deli.
1 point for each half sub and 2 points for a full sub.
At 15 points you can get a free full sized sub. Only one free sub can be redeemed per order. Also if you go on a Friday and the sub is reduced to $3.99 due to a weekly special in the deli dept the computer will not redeem the points. Have them charge you the full price of $5.99 on your barcode.
Just a note the points are redeemed at the end of the order just like BOGO purchases.

The gift cards were a reward for spending $50 for 16 of 18 weeks during the last holiday season.

Evic members get two $25 cards while regular VIC customers get one.

Never heard of any secret gift card codes at my store.

There was nothing that I bought that prompted the gift cards. According to the assistant csm, they are doing it for customers that almost qualified for the promotion. I think I had missed it by 2 or 3 weeks.

The exact wording on the receipt is:

HT Fisherman's Market seafood is hand selected with freshness guaranteed. Try some tonight.

It printed under Evic customer and above the bar code.

Thanks for clearing that out, but the thing is that i've never bought any subs over there, let alone 13:shrug7:. But hey if i get a q for a free one, i won't complain
