Rain check Questions

3 Questions. I have a RC fpr buy 2 get 3 free HT Lite olive oil

1. Can I get regular olive oil?

2. Can I use it when the olive oil is on sale?

3. It's written for 10, can I get 5 at a time?

I figure the answers no for #1, but just thought I would ask

Oh and separate q, can I get several rain checks at once?

My experience with HT has been different so my answers are different:

1. no
2. possibly, depends on the manager/cashier - many will honor either the sale price OR the b2g3f raincheck but not both
3. no, they will not give the RC back after you use it b/c the cashier has to put it in their drawer like a coupon so that they don't get in trouble at the end of the shift

I'll add a note: if that particular coupon will be out again, the rainchecks should good any time. I've used rainchecks that were over 2 years old. When I get a raincheck at at any store chain, I always ask how long they are good and Harris Teeter told me "whenever". So, Harris Teeter is the only store having this policy in my area. Bi-Lo tells me 30 days. If they still do not have the item in stock, they'll give me a new raincheck, but by then my coupon may be expired.

3. Only if there 5 on the shelf like anaj06 stated, in this case they should write you another raincheck for the other 5 (definitely request it, if this happens) and the cashier uses the one you have for the drawer. This is how it works for me in my experiences.

My experience-
1. Maybe, I had a raincheck for Yoplait singles and she wrote me 4 rainchecks for 3 on each and said 3 different flavors on each one. I grabbed most of the Strawberry white chocolate rather than 3 blueberry, 3 peach, 3 strawberry. SHe looked at me and looked at the items. I told her they were all the same price on sale (and they are/were) and if I can't do it no big deal I will get the flavors stated. She let me do it.

2. Yes on sale is fine, I have made out well in that deal in the past, but I supposed they could over ride it.

3. I have had them give me back a raincheck that I used. It was for Hungry Jack pancakes and it was triple coupons. They only had 2 and my RC was for 8 I think. HE gave me my raincheck back and said since I only got 2 and it was for 8 that I could use it again...I was totally surprised by that. This wasn't even at my normal store either. He didn't know me from Jack. I agree with WOWme on that...

Did you mean several rain checks for the same item? If so, then the answer is no. They will just write you one rain check for the item. But as with everything, YMMV.

The CS girl tonight wouldn't write me a raincheck on the meal deal. I was disappointed since I had a q for the hormel and salad mix. Anyone else had this issue? No butter tonight either. The freezer stocker said they have been out all week. Got a raincheck for that though.
