Harris Teeter ~ Question: only bought 14 G/M items and still got the $5 instant savings?

Has this happened to anyone else? I went to shop this evening and this is what I got
5- green giant
6- grands -3x75/3
3- warm delights -3x50/1
8- M/W muffin mix-3x55/1
2- Hills shire lunch meat-2x55/1
-$3 instant save for Hillshire lunch
-$5 instant save G/M
-$2oyno from previous pillibury

got back $3 G/G $2 Pillsbury

only realized when I got home that I only had 14 items toward the G/M $5 instant saving, but on my receipt the $5 instant saving showed up so I am sitting here trying to figure this one out. Any one out there with a suggestion as to how this happened:shrug7:

Yup it appears to be cumulative and carries over. I've only bought 5 GG at a time on any transaction and nothing else that is part of that deal except a warm delight here or there if they are miraculously have them in stock. I've gotten $5 off about 7 times so far. Thing was it was happening when dh went so I didn't notice until it happened to me today and 3 times at that.

Good to know, I bought 8 of the qualifying items today so technically the $5 should come off tomorrow when I go get more veggies and chex mix tomorrow! Yay! I won't plan for it, but will be pleasantly surprised when/if it happens.

Same thing happened to me this morning. It's been hard to find Chex Mix Bars but my kids love them....

Bought several over the past few days and then this morning 3 more. When my total came up at just 26 cents I was quite surprised but wasn't about to complain! The cashier was a bit shocked and so was the next person in line. I was standing there with my credit card ready and looked a bit foolish. I dug in my pocket for some loose change to seal the deal.

It was only once I got home and looked at the receipt that I saw the GM/PB $5 so yup, it's cumulative across transactions. Gotta love it!

Yay! I was wondering if this would work like last time. Our store was wiped out of Grands this morning, but they were unloading cases of Warm Delights. At least now I know I can get what they have when they have it in stock.

Well last night I went to the store for a quick trip for items that I knew were going to be free. I got NO GM products for the deal. I got Clorox wipes, Barilla, and Mahatma. Then I get to the check out and the cashier scans my q's and hits the total button. Suddenly I was $3.35 in the NEGATIVE! AAACCCK! I had no idea how it happened and scrambled to throw some gum on my order. I ended up paying $0.35. I just looked at the reciept closely this morning and realized that the GM $5 came off. So I am TOTALLLY confused! LOL

we did the GM deal the first day and since have gotten the 5 bucks off every other time GM products or not

I should go back and pick up some of the cake mixes then that I didn't catch the first time. They were out of so much stuff!
