Weird thing today at HT

There was a lady who was cashing out and when they scanned her VIC card a manager came over to see what the problem was, took her card and went to the office. And she came back out and told they lady her card had been cancelled. Why did they do that? The cashier told me after she had left that she was a problem shopper and had been coming in several times a day using different VIC cards, anyone else heard this? I went with my neighbor today made sure they knew we didnt live together.

That sure would be embarrassing. It is such a simple thing for them to ask us to obey the rules, too bad people try so hard to go round them.

Wow! That is crazy! I still only make my one trip each day. Granted I am there bright and early each day, but it is just one trip! lol I guess some people really think they can beat the system!

That still seems like pretty harsh treatment, especially for a store that puts such value on customer service. I understand they are entitled to make whatever rules & limits they like and am very grateful for the deals they offer, but they do make it harder than any other store in my area.

The issue must be the multiple cards. I don't think they limit how many trips in you make each day-I have been going atleast twice a day during triples so I can do two of the GM deals, but always use my phone number (I think the cashiers have it memorized) and only 3 like q's at a time. I think I am following all the rules so I would freak out if someone tried to tell me I could only come in to the store once a day.

so, are you saying she had several different VIC cards all under her name?

If she had 3-4 under different names, I doubt the cashier's were memorizing how many times each customer comes in the store in a day.

Sorry to say that you would DEFINITELY not be following the "rules" at my store. Only one trip PER DAY period! No multiple trips and I have seen them call someone out for it before.

multiple cards and different names, even family, I can not see her-him getting caught.
Same name YES.
Who's watching that close, unless it was a fool who went thru the same checkout line each time or verbally announced their presence.

1 trip and 7 days in a week = 7 trips is plenty for me = 1 VIC card.

If you go out of your way to game the system (multiple cards, etc) you're just ruining things for everyone else.
