alright I am just going to ask them I got like 10 of those coupons
just a heads up for anyone using the $1.00 Mayfield ice cream Q during super doubles. it does start with a 9 so you have to make sure they double it. it does NOT state DND anywhere on the Q and the cashier doubled with no questions for me last night. HTH!!

I was declined and CS lady said she had no control on how the q's were programmed and she might loss her job if she did the override. How can I stand my ground without pushing too much?
Happy couponing!
As soon as my cashier saw that coupon she said it won't double as it is a "store" coupon. She said they only double manufacturers' coupons. It doesn't say anywhere that it is an HT store coupon, but I didn't push it since it didn't say "manufacturer's coupon" on it either - like the others do. Free would have been better, but $0.99 was not bad either. I won't be buying more though as I had originally planned....
from Northern VA!
Thanks for the heads-up! I've been looking forward to free ice cream, but will have to see what they do with it at my store. Still, $0.99 for Mayfield is pretty great anyway, I love that stuff!

I had a similar problem to "luvbargains" with the Mayfield coupon. She said she couldn't double it because itwas a "vendor" coupon and not a manufacturer coupon. I was kind of annoyed by this new "rule" but plan to investigate... I mean the coupon says to redeem with Dean foods. Dean foods owns Mayfield, so what's the deal?? I told them to take the ice cream off since they wouldn't take it. The manager did, but then tried to walk off with the coupons. I had to chase her down after I finished checking out to get them back. She didn't understand why I wanted them back since I wasn't going to use them.(??) I said I could use them at Ingles, where the ice cream is B1G1. I'm so annoyed.
if life gives you lemons, compost them, go to HT and get free lemonade.
Hmmm interesting. I was kinda worried about this since I have a bunch of this coupons so I just try my luck and bought one tub and used one coupon. The CS girl doubled it for me after reading every single word on the coupon. However she took the coupon to her desk instead of leaving it at the cashier counter. I was thinking if she was going to call corporate and ask about it...

It may be a vendor coupon, but they are not a store coupon. LF had them in our area, too. The manager at the HT I shop at told me the other day that it is a problem with the coding at coporate. Most coupons that have barcodes that start with a 9 are DND. And they haven't figured out a way to correct this in their system. He said that they received a memo, but have not made a decision on what to do yet. He said that he will double them until he hears different.
I'm heading over in a bit with these after a huge argument with the staff last night. My exact response to the "store coupon" concept is: "No, they are manufacturer coupons provided to various retailers through the Frozen Food Council of America. A store coupon is a coupon issued by the store's company in which the store does not receive reimbursement by the manufacturer of the product. This coupon states on it that reimbursement should be sought through Dean Foods which owns the Mayfield ice cream brand." I'm really sick of having to teach them their jobs.
