I just came from there and it didn't double the $1.50 coupon for hot shot ( not the bogo) the reg. priced one for wasp killer and the $1.50 for pedigree dog treats.

the hotshot coupon starts with a "9" but does not say do not double coupon. So it depends if you point it out to the cashier for them to manually double it or ymmv

well the manager just called me back , he went through and checked all the coupons I guess that I had used today. He said that everything looked fine on the coupons that they should have all doubled.
That when I come back bring my receipt and they will refund my money that was not doubled including the dog treats.

Oh yes, he did say that all HT 's computers/ registers are some how fixed that after the first 20 Q's it will not double the 1.98 coupons any more. It is per day only , per card, I said that was fine. ( I hope that made sense)

shh, don't tell my hubby has his own card.

Hope your hubby's card has a different address linked to it because it's per household also.

I don't know what address he put on it, but I am about to tired to go anywhere else today. I may wait until in the mg.
When I left HT it was pretty packed and I am guessing later today it will be worse when everyone is getting off from work.

It must be tracked through some other way too. My hubby signed up for his card and didn't put an address on it the form at all. Yet it has now been linked with my card.

Only thing we can figure is that it must somehow link based on the debit/credit info used.
Better to be safe and stick with one trip per household per day. :)

I would if it would track if you didn't have your debit card/ cc with both spouses name on the acct. Just asking before someone bounces on me for it( curious).

My Hot Shot didn't double today either and the manager stated that there were different and more stricter rules for pesticides and they could not over-ride it. Also, proceeded to tell me that only 20 per day per person...blah blah and that they were required to sign a bunch of papers about coupons recently. That everyone's job is on the line and they have mystery shoppers in the store trying to catch them allowing coupons through. My reply was...sad you have to work for a company where you feel your job is on the line over coupons and as a customer I am not sure if I can trust you since your corporate office doesn't if they have to send in mystery shoppers to "catch you". I think you need to be more informative and train your cashiers accordingly and this wouldn't happen. So because of this, Harris Teeter is joining Walmart & not being coupon friendly...interesting.

I have mystery shopped for HT many times, and I can assure you, that mgr is full of it. What we check has NOTHING to do with coupons!! Also, a bunch of bull about the pesticides thing. I'd rather them tell me the truth- they don't know why it's not doubling (because it starts with a 9), rather than lie and make up stories such as that. If I were you, I'd email corporate and let them know that you are disappointed that the mgr tried to decieve you, rather than just being honest and stating that he would not overide anything that did not scan.

i am so glad my harris teeter is so coupon friendly. all the managers seem to be nice (so far) and I haven't had them try to "blow smoke" like some are getting, if I have a problem. I have heard horror stories of not very coupon friendly cashiers and managers at the lincolnton store, and if I were treated they way some have been, corp. would hear from me immediately. there is no reason for a manager to make up a story on why a coupon won't double. I would have looked at him and told him how wrong he was, because [thanks to hcw friends] I can be prepared to know why something will beep or why a coupon won't work correctly. lol makes him look like an idiot and a liar.
