SuperFresh did a similar promo several weeks ago where they would double $1 Q's. I didn't do nearly as well with that as I do with triples. But once I got over the shock (and slight annoyance) and worked out some deals, I did get quite a few good bargains. Hopefully they'll have some great sales to combine with the coupons.

HT has gotten smart on us. None of us are near as mad as we would be if they just cancled triples and the cost to HT for this promotion is so much less! This is REALLY smart marketing on their part!

Largest (realistic) coupon they will have to double $1.50 - it costs them a $1.50 and they make $1.50 on the product from the manufacturer reimbursement. 50% income.

Triples - largest (realistic/consistently) coupon they tripled $.75. It cost them $1.50 and they only made $.75 on the product from the manufacturer reimbursement. 33% income.

I'm sure it will be automatic. There may be some issues just like there are always some weird issues that come up at triples, but I'm assuming CS will be helpful as always and fix any mistakes.

HT actually has done a Super Doubles in the past - if you guys remember that 1 triple coupon event when they also did Super Doubles (up to $2.00 face value) for ONLY P&G brand coupons (I don't remember the date but it was a big deal - a lot of us thought that meant maybe they'd do super-doubles again sometime, well here we are and they're doing it again, only w/o the triples). If they can program the registers to run triples and at the same time do super-doubles for ONLY the P&G brand coupons, then programming for JUST a super-doubles event should be easy enough.
