HT
DOES accept Competitor $/$$ off coupons. HT
DOES NOT price match like Wal-mart.
They
ACCEPT Rite-Aid, CVS, and Walgreens, etc.
Unhinged, I also use my VIC card
BEFORE ALL Manufacturer coupons (up to $.99--doubled and/or tripled)
FIRST. Then my Manufacturer coupons up to $.99--doubled and/or tripled. Then the $1.00 and up coupons that will
NOT double/triple; and finally, my IP coupons and then Competitor coupons.
Don't let the cashier tell you otherwise! If the cashier scans your VIC card BEFORE $/$$ Competitor coupons, then the SUBTOTAL will be reduced by your VIC card discounts. The KEY is to have the cashier scan ALL your groceries FIRST. Then use your $/$$ Competitor coupons FIRST when your cashier reaches the TOTAL of the $/$$ coupon required for it to be used (i.e. if the $/$$ Competitor coupon states "$5/$25"--ask for a SUBTOTAL when TOTAL is reached with $/$$ Competitor coupon. Ask the cashier to SUBTOTAL BEFORE he/she scans your VIC card; and then do the $/$$ Competitor coupon. Use "fillers" if needed.) Secondly, do the VIC card discounts (cashier scans your VIC card). Third, do the Manufacturer Coupons up to $.99 (doubled/tripled). Fourth, do the $1 (Face Value coupons after your 20 limit is reached--doubled/tripled). Fifth, do the IP (Internet Printable) coupons. Finally, do the OTHER Competitor coupons (not the $/$$ Competitor coupons--you have ALREADY had the cashier scan these if you have them!).
For example, $5/$25 coupon from SFW, I used when my
TOTAL was over the $25 amount; then I handed the cashier my VIC card, Manufacturer coupons that would double/triple up to $.99 and/or up to Super Doubles $1.98 over a $1;
THEN I handed the cashier my $1 and up coupons (when no Super Double sales) for the
FACE VALUE amount.
Finally, hand the cashier, your IP coupons, and then your Competitor coupons (not the $/$$) that you have left.
One other tip. I write down on my shopping list how I plan on "stacking" my coupons. For example, $/$$ Competitor coupons--if I have them. Then I list what my coupon values will be/should be after discounts and how many coupons that I have for each product that I am buying.
For example, I had Cheerios and other GM cereals that I wished to buy. My Manufacturer coupons were from General Mills (GM) so I was able to do Cheerios and other GM cereals too. I listed that I had 3 GM Manufacturer coupons by the product that I was buying and what
SHOULD be the amount of the coupon that the cashier doubled/tripled when the coupons were scanned. List the
VALUE of the Manufacturer coupons and also the
VALUE of your Competitor coupons. That way you have an idea what to expect.
That way I keep a "running total" written down as my "checklist" on my grocery list. It helps to keep me and the cashier straight. Don't be rushed--if possible.
I hope this helps and sorry for the long post--
Foodie
