You can get more than 3 with manager approval. They ask me how many I want, I tell them, they haven't refused me yet. I haven't asked for the water yet because the one store I have been too has a ton of it, but I have been getting a bunch for the Lean cuisine, though I see the LC are cheaper at Walmart now ($1.78). Still won't hurt to ask.
Also even if they did say you can only have 3, then is there a rule about only being able to use ONE raincheck at a time?

Just FYI, water only cost about $.08 cents per gallon from your faucet.
I know, I'm being a butt-hole, but I just can't figure people buying water in a bottle. We bought 3 jugs of water when they were a money maker at Kroger a few months back, and they are still sitting unopened. They taking up precious room in our stockpile. Makes me want to use them to flush the toilet.
I'm with you. My degree is in civil and environmental engineering and I CRINGE when I see people drinking bottled water. Most of the time it just came out of a tap somewhere and underwent MAYBE one additional filtration process. Then all that plastic leaches into the water (so bad! endocrine disruption) and the plastic ends up in the landfill, on the side of the road, etc.
If you buy it for convenience, consider getting a (new BPA free) nalgene bottle or Klean Kanteen or something and filling it out of your tap or your refrigerator filtered water.
*gets off soapbox*
Personally I buy it for when we go camping or hiking. I still have a case from this summer. I use my filter on my frige. BUT During the summer when we are camping and hiking I do NEED the bottled water.

I understand buying them occasionally for convenience. It's the habitual bottled water drinkers I don't understand.
Also, can I ask you, if you are a camper/hiker, why not buy a Klean Kanteen? They're so durable!
