I wonder if they will still accept previous rainchecks for more than 3 items...
I will update the FAQ and other threads but a few things have changed. Namely they will now double/triple IPs and rainchecks are limited to 3.
Harris Teeter - Coupon Policy
1/2011 The link still works in case anyone was wondering. It takes you directly to the Harris Teeter website where the policy is posted.

Wife to 1not updated right now, mama to 3 little girls.
Wonder if they will change the IP rule back right before triples again?
They tripled my IPs in Wilson last weekend. :)
I thought it said they are limited to 3 UNLESS the manager says otherwise? So to me that means if it is over 3 it shouldn't matter since it is up to the stores manager.
Rainchecks from one store is good at another. And they don't have to print thier name most times the signatures are impossible to read.
I think they mean from this point forward, however since they never expire it shouldn't matter and will accept the ones previously written.
Plus think about it, since the policy is to accept no than 3 coupons on like items, you wouldn't necessarily want them for coupon items anyway. Also you can get numerous rainchecks for the same item.
I doubt they will change the policy back right before triples. I think they finally figured out that not doubling/tripling IPs was very hard to enforce.
Do you want good food or cheap food?Do you have a Smartphone? Try WeReward, get paid for the places you shop at!Reformed extreme couponer...
I think this new wording on how many IPs they will accept is even less clear than before:
"With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day"
I assume this still means you can use more than 2 IPs, as long as they are different manufacturer's? You will never convince a cashier/manager that is what it means though.
I was very relieved when a manager told the cashier that the limit on IPs was for 2 "like" manufacturer products, just as the policy states.
The cashier had pulled my IPs aside and called her over, asking if there wasn't a limit of 2? I held my breath, wondering if she would misinterpret it like other store managers have. Thankfully she was one that "gets it".
I notice y'all have alot of problems with your coupons.
Maybe its my HT, but not once have I ever been denied using a coupon, or had problems.
Count your blessings.
My SIL has problems almost every time she hits Teeter, and she is always RIGHT and using the coupons correctly in accordance with the OLD policy (she hasn't shopped there since triples in November). I think maybe she is just doomed in that one store, as one cashier definitely has it out for her.
Well this weekend at the Wilson (tripling) store they would not double/triple anything that said Do Not Double - IP or otherwise. They wouldn't even try to scan them. The checker pulled those coupons out of the pile, called over the manager for over ride. I asked the (so pleasant, customer friendlyNOT) manager if they had changed their policy. He said no, if it says don't they don't. I said they have been scanning them for me since October. He keyed them in and walked away. I was not nasty, just confused. I couldn't go discuss with the manager because he was the manager. I still saved a total of $150 but the inconsistency from week to week just buggs me.
