That would be great...keeps me from having to go to two different stores this weekend!
Yes HT will usually take the LF coupons for $$ off the total order. HOWEVER they may or may not let you use it before your other coupons. Some stores will, some stores won't. My store used to let me use those kinds of coupons first and then one day told me they weren't allowed to do that anymore.

I was just in the store and was going to purchase the Ball Park beef franks that are BOGO. I had a $1 off 2 coupon. I was informed that in order to use my coupon, I would have to purchase 4 packages of beef franks! Every time I'm in there, it seems like there's a new twist to the coupon policy. I am not attempting to abuse the coupon policy, but feel like a criminal when I'm denied usage of coupons for things like this. I realize the coupon policy states only one coupon is allowed for BOGO items, but no other grocery stores (Food Lion, Bi-Lo or Lowe's Food) have a policy like this. Frankly, this policy strongly compels me to shop at other grocery stores.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I'm ready for a revolt. I read a copy of a memo that was sent to HT employees a while ago, and that was how the rule was interpretted in the memo, so I can't give my store employees grief. They are just doing their jobs, but I am going to write corporate and remind them that none of their competitor's have that type of policy (politely of course).

I usually do not have a problem with HT, but I have had a problem at Lowe's Foods before. Wal-Mart always screws it up, so I stopped going there completely.

He said no, if it says don't they don't. I said they have been scanning them for me since October. He keyed them in and walked away. I was not nasty, just confused. I couldn't go discuss with the manager because he was the manager. I still saved a total of $150 but the inconsistency from week to week just buggs me.

I just think that the more couponers save and it's advertised the more the stores will create policies to stop it. I couldn't believe it today the same thing happened. They didn't want to use my Vitamin Water coupons because they were printed and not from the newspaper. The co-manager asked my husband and I if we were making copies and running to different stores to get free stuff. I felt like I was slapped in the face or kicked in the stomach. It took everything in me to hold my peace. My salary compared to his would wrap around his head until he'd fall out. After addressing the co-manager's remark (apology given), he was more pleasant. The female supervisor never had a good attitude or the young cashier. I assume the KFC fiasco or bad coupon experiences is their issue but they shouldn't take it out on everyone.

Rant over!

I just e-mailed HT in regards to their policy on the number of IP's they accept per day.

"With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day."

I was told at my store that this means 2 IP's a day TOTAL. Yet it sounds like this may be a misinterpretation of the policy to me. Anyone have any idea what the correct interpretation is? I will post back when I hear back from HT.

It is 2 per manufacturer per day.
What you do is email HT and tell them the store you have a problem at and they will contact that store and straighten them out...
I have done that before over an IP problem, but it was what the value was they would take-which was an old policy.

So here's the reply I got from customer relations...

Thank you for your email and we apologize for any confusion. The policy states that with the purchase of two (2) like internet coupons, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day. This means, for example, two (2) Pop Tart coupons, two (2) Kellogg's coupons, two (2) Kraft coupons, etc.

I hope this has answered your questions and thanks for being our customer!

Sincerely,

Tom
Harris Teeter Customer Relations

I hope they set my local HT store straight.

Customer relations is going to confuse people w/ that example. Kelloggs makes Pop Tarts. So you shouldn't use 2 Pop Tarts IPs and then 2 more Kelloggs IPs b/c the pop tarts ones ARE kelloggs ones. LOL

I wonder if Tom wrote the policy too. I don't get why they only accept 2 per manufacturer, but its better than 2 total. I wonder if my store will get the message. How could they be confused by this?...lol
