I have to take my kid to camp this weekend outside of Raleigh and am wondering if it is worth the extra 30 minutes drive. Is the store well stocked? Has anyone started a list of freebies/cheap items?
I think the rest of the stores will be seeing triples again at the end of july if it follows last years pattern. I hope so at least because I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks!
They are really cracking down on the coupons being used. They have asked people that they see doing a deal and taking the stuff out to the car and coming back in to do more deals to leave. They are going through the coupons to make sure you are not trying to use two coupons on bogo items. The store auditor and manager is keeping a close eye on the people with coupon binders to make sure you are not trying to use more coupons than allowed. There are a couple of good deals but not anything that is outstanding. I was also told that if you have a negative amount when you check out they will give you back that negative amount but they don't like to see it. I never have a problem with the negative becuase I use it to get my fruit and meats. Since you very rarely see coupons for those items I use the negative like my coupons on them. While looking over my receipt I did notice that some of my coupons did not triple completely. Some of the .50 ones only tripled to 1.49 and 1.39. I don't know what that is about. Another thing they got me on is the Daisy sour cream was marked 5/$5 and it rang up full price at 1.49. After going over my entire receipt I actually paid 14.44 and should have only paid 10.64?!? When I go back I am going to take my receipt and have them correct the problems. I think I did pretty good. This total included milk, apples and cantaloupe.
I talked with the manager yesterday and again today since she had to overide a wine tag Q for me. She thinks the triples will continue next week for ANOTHER 7 DAYS! She said she would let me know on Monday.
Oh I will be so happy if they do!
I come back home (to the Rocky Mount area) this weekend, give or take a few days, and I am going straight to Wilson. ;)

Actually they put up special signs with triple rules during triples around here and if specficially says no cash back. Best thing for everyone to do is not go into the negative liked Ashley pointed out.

I think I can answer why some did not triple completely. If an item in on sale, the Q will triple~ even if this means overage. If and item is regular price, the Q will only multiply up to the full price of the item~ no overage. I picked up a few things that would have been overage, but they still ended up being free. This is what I was told at this store anyway. May be different in other areas.
I did not do so well today. I took DH with me today and his diet has changed which means he requires more expensive items. He picked up "entertanment" for my DB 21st birthday party tomorrow as well as some items that I am required to bring to the party (baked beans, drinks and such). We also decided to get our lunch off of the salad bar. Can I say that that was the best salad that I have had in a LONG time! So if you take off these items our totals would have come to 13.14 but instead they came to 50.68! That is a difference of $34.72! The moral of this story...NEVER TAKE DH WITH YOU!!! Just kidding. It may have cost us more money but it gave us time ALONE without any children to do what I love the most...COUPON!!! BTW all of my coupons tripled as they should have.
