Did your H/T give overage

I was wondering if your store in the concord Kannapolis area gave you overage this time around or was it just me who was targeted out this time. Cashier keyed in all of my 20 coupons this time and adjusted all the coupons so there were no overage for me this time. While waiting for these coupons to be keyed in I was watching all the other cashiers in other lanes and they were just scanning the coupons. What did I do wrong was it the fact that I was at the store at 6am and they were not ready for a early coup oner or what!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got home and called corp and ask in a nice way to please explain the triple coupon deal and after talking with them I explained to them the big TV commercial advertisement for triples at H/T is false adds because they are not triplet the coupons and there is no small print on the commercial stating that if a item is priced for .50 and you have a .50 coupon that is all you get sorry no triple on this one.
Just had to vent a little because I feel like I was target out and don't like it when I know I did nothing wrong or did I?

Sounds to me like you got a VERY PICKY cashier. What a pain. Next time you go it probably will not be that way. I'd just mark it down to a "coupon cop". You are right you did not do anything wrong. I'd hate to see her do that at peek hours with a long line! Try again tomorrow with a different cashier! You'll see it will go just fine.

Usually (although you probably already know this) you will only get overage up to a certain amount.

A $1.50 item that is on sale for 50¢ and also has a 50¢/off coupon that you triple will give you overage of $1.00.

However, if you have an item that is regularly priced 50¢, with a 50¢/off coupon it will be free, but will not give you overage.

Cashier didn't adjust coupons and I didn't get ANY overage this time while I should have on a few items. Looks like they changed their computer system, here anyway.

Was this at the Poplar Tent/George Lyles location? Blonde girl? She did the same to me. Called the manager over and he had to put his key in for every coupon, blah blah blah. It was taking forever and my little guy started screaming and fussing, customers in line behind me were rolling eyes so I asked her to cancel the order. Other cashiers WERE not adjusting coupons and on another trip in the same store with a different cashier, the cashier didn't adjust anything and gave overage. The one on 29 gave me overage on every trip no problems.

We double manufacturer’s coupons up to face value of $0.99; with total amount not to exceed $1.98 or entire retail of item; whichever is less.

So triple I assume would be $2.97 or less...hhhuummm, sounds like a legit gripe to me.
If it were me and I had a lot of coupons that were going to give overage, I would have gone to another store. HTs around the Charlotte area are a dime a dozen. Within 20 miles of me I have atleast 7 of them. I went to one that was next to BiLo making it more worth my gas to get there.

Did you check out at 7:00 am or later? Apprently the registers are flipped to "triple mode" till 7 am (when it officially starts)? I'm in South Charlotte and I got overages.

I went to the store on 29. I must have gotten overage because one of my orders was -1.97.
There is a blonde headed girl that has a real attitude however. She was rolling her eyes, slinging my groceries around, and threw another tantrum when I asked for paper bags. I tried to be really nice, she said she was tired, and I can understand that, but her attitude was inexcusable.
I didn't get any Duke's mayo, tea, or croutons. But I did stock up on Domino's sugar and Barilla pasta.

One thing you do have to pay attention to is the wording on the coupon. If it says DND then they can't triple it(ok not suppose to). Some machines will let it through, but most of the stores I went to did not. That young lady who's register you were at may have gotten burned or may have been new and scared to make a mistake. I myself know how zealous us couponers can be!!!

I did not get any overage at any of the stores here. The machines took off either the amount it tripled to as long as it was under or equal to the total price of the product or it took right up to the amount so if something was 1.20 and I had a .75 cent Q it took of .75 cent and then .45 cent. The only thing that really threw me is how the receipt looked!! The receipt had all the original Q amounts taken off first, so all 20 Q's wrang up 1st, then the next column below that was all the amounts after the Q tripled, if it tripled!! I had to go back and look at some of the Q's to figure out why they didn't take off...silly DND...ugggghhh!! So I had 1 receipt that had 20 original Q's taken off then the next column below it had 12 Q's tripled due to 7 of them had the DND on them. Oh well, I still had fun!!!
