I would have to agree with mmb. You'll probably end up spending more than if you got one nice, small gift for each child.
In our house, it's the mom and dad who take care of the stockings, anyway.
I was just going to give them the stocking as a present. It's hard to shop where I live. There's just CVS, KMART (which I dont like going to), walgreens and a Ross.

My parents used to give each of us $5 (a few days before Christmas, of course) and my sister and I would go to the dollar store and pick each other's stocking stuffers. Shopping for each other and trying to get as much as we could for $5 made it even more fun.

I do battery-op toothbrushes for the kidlets in my family. Each one gets a different character toothbrush. Easter bunny brings them too - helps towards replacing toothbrushes on a consistent basis. Then I supplement changing them during the rest of the year. But the kids love getting them! And with coupons, I tend to get them for about $3 each.

Thanks for all your ideas!! We just went and got them a present for $10 or under each. Their mom isnt really into candy or mcdonalds.. i used to get MOSTLY candy in mine! so I just left the stocking to her... thanks though!!
