We were out of town at my SIL-so LO doesn't sleep well and is up super early. We weren't planning to go, but LO was up at 4:30am, so by the time we got ready and left it was about 5:15am. Didn't hit many place since we had LO in tow! We went to Dick's Sporting Goods, Toys R US, and Sam's.

Since we got a later start it was still very busy, but no pushing shoving, etc.

Dh waited in line at Best Buy from 8:30 till they opened at Midnight. We wanted 2 of the Nintendo 3DS bundles. Got them and there was a whole bunch of them so probably would not have had to stand in line but it was nice to be with the first group to enter the store! We weren't sure how "hot" of a product they would be. A friend asked us to pick up one of the 42" TVs if possible- not a chance! There were people who had waited since early afternoon who did not get one!

While dh waited in line at Best Buy I got the $4.47 PJs at Wal-Mart. It was kinda dumb to wait in the check-out that long (abt an hour) for 3 pairs of cheap PJ's- well and a Mario Backpack for $7.99- but I figured it was either that or wait outside of Best Buy so either way was just waiting- one inside and one outside. LOL. I gotta say I was really disappointed when the $4.47 character "hoodies" at Wal-Mart turned out to be the same material as a t-shirt and it just had a hood attached. Didn't get any of those!

After Best Buy we hit Old Navy for the $10 kids jeans. Then the mall for Bath and Body Works. Then Target for the Cars 2 DVD at $13.

Overall, a fun trip! I LOVE Black Friday!!!

I went out later in the day after the insanity died down a little. I went to gamestop and got some games for the kids, walgreens and picked up most of my list. They were out of the thermacare wraps but I got the toothbrushes and hair things for the kids stockings :).

Then I went to walmart and picked up new pjs for my dh and my dd and I got a glow dome for my other kid for $15. It wasn't bad but I heard from a friend the morning was really bad! I also got so many cheap dvds, I love the BF dvd sales.

I did NO shopping on Black Friday this year....I can't remember a time when I haven't shopped on Black Friday so I took this year off. I shopped CVS on Wed. night and Walgreens and Rite Aid on Thanksgiving (and I got quite a few gifts for dd at Walgreens:) and on Saturday I went to Target and was still able to get the toys that I wanted from the 2 day sale. But, back to Black Friday...we got out all the Christmas decorations and decorated the tree and started on the house. We baked cookies and dd made a giant gingerbread man. Friday night we had friends over for dinner and after dd went to bed we played Apples to Apples. Very relaxing day, but next year I will be back out there...I missed the wackiness of it all...oh, and one of my good friends got the 500 dollar gift card at Sports Authority...lucky duck!

Well my Black Friday was pretty boring... I had to work and was the only one in my department, since I work in the meat dept it was pretty quiet all day which was nice!

After I punched out I went looking and found a few $3 dvd's that I wanted and got a few groceries... then went home. Nice and boring just the way I like it!

We went to Bealls dept store for the midnight opening. I stupidly thought it wouldn't be that bad, but it was a madhouse. They were giving out scratchcards and you could win an Ipad. People were actually cutting inline. Then the lines wrapped around the store. Once we got out of there we went to Target (about an hour after opening) and scored everything we wanted. The mall was packed. Seems like there were way more people this year. A lot of rude people this year also. I don't like the midnight openings. I've been doing Black Friday for almost 17 years and this one brought out the worst in people.
However I did purchase most of what I wanted from Amazon, so will probably do it all online next year.
