I already got mine. Sweet story, so i'll share :)

This will be long winded and possibly hard to follow since i tend to ramble.

Thanksgiving dh asked me what i wanted for Christmas. Since we are going to Disney for Christmas (as in our present, not during Christmastime), i really didn't want to ask for anything. So i give him a list, new measuring cups, pot holders, flip flop slippers, terry cloth robe, etc. He gets offended and said i'm not getting measuring cups and pot holders, just go to Target.

Black friday i finished up our shopping (online). DS9 wanted a video camera and i figured i'd get a nice(r) on, since the last one we got was when i was pregnant w/ ds12. I have a recording option on my Nikon camera but it's not that great.

Sat after black friday dh and ds12 go out shopping, not for any of the 'black friday' deals. They just wanted to go shopping. I know they went near the mall and to Dicks sporting goods (dh bought himself shoes), he proudly announced he used a coupons

He called to check in and since i did not see him before he left he asked what i got online last night. I had found a good deal on the camera for ds reg $259 for $150. More than i wanted to spend, but i didn't want a cheapy one either since we'd probably use it some. Got ds12's NCAA game and the stuff from Old Navy and Kohl's. He was like $150 for a camcorder for ds9, blah blah, yada yada, too much money. And i said well i didn't want to get the cheapy one, but we can return it, but if i cancel the order i'll lost ds12's game.

So we're all home debating on going to get a new tree (which we did, yay!) Out of the blue dh goes, 'come back here for a minute'. I follow him to our bedroom (also his office). He sits in his chair and says, 'i don't know how to tell you this than to just tell you' *i feel like i am going to get sick, like WTH is going on . He leans down, moves all this crap and pulls out a box...

Its a sony camcorder for me I was like oh wow, where'd that come from. He said, ' i bought it two months ago [for you] when we booked the trip to disney, i knew you would love one to take to disney' I was dumbfounded. I asked, how he bought it. Side note: we don't have separate accounts. DH has his own Amex, but uses it for work. I asked how he purchased it, like do we have to pay the Amex or what. He said no, he saved up for it. *in retrospect, he would mention he got $10-$20 back when he'd get gas or whatever, but it never occurred to me he hoarded nearly $400 for a new camcorder.' He even bought it in Jersey when he was there, so no one would see him, hee hee. I just was/am in shock, there is no way i would have asked for that with what we are putting out for Disney.

So all of that and i ordered ds9 the flip cam from amazon for $69, i would have ordered the one from Kohl's but didn't know about mine until well after the 11am. We decided to still get ds9 a camcorder, so he can have his own. There is no way i am sharing mine


I also got a new leather sofa.

You have to take the good w/ the bad!! He's a good DH but w/ a very demanding job, that takes him away a LOT. He's just started to make up for it!!

And for the record, he normally doesn't want to 'do gifts' since we don't really 'need' anything. This was a shocker to everyone who knows him

Thanks At this point i am more excited about telling the boys, we planned this late August and have kept it a secret, only like 5 people know, once they find out and we can talk about it, i'll be really excited
