Have you looked at the auto train? It leaves from Lorton, VA and arrives in Sanford, FL (just outside Ocala). The train takes the cars with passenger.

I wish there was an auto train from the east coast to the midwest. We are driving from Boston to Chicago for Xmas.

I hope you have a nice train trip. That would be super fun.

I would have went with the drive, but it doesn't freak me out so bad. Not to mention, on any big trip like that and I'm the one driving, I leave at like midnight. You don't have to worry about too much traffic, kiddos would be asleep in the car, and it's a breeze.

In the dark ive gotten lost even with my gps! lol i turn to soon or something! Driving to georgia i left at night and i ran over a racoon down some tiny road at 4am! i felt bad for the racoon i am sure i killed it!
ugh ive packed and repacked soo much. Husband wants me to mail him clothes and stuff. But good thing is he might have an adress today! otherwise i would have been taking his stuff to fla with me! So now i gotta unpack and repack! And i gotta go thruogh my stuff again for clothes ill actually wear and not ones i think i might! ive unpacked and repacked sooo many times. Im seriously gonna go nuts here! And i kn ow my SIL is gonna mention something about my weight as well. When they left here last yr i was 120. Right now im 109. I have/had an eating disorder tryng to recover but lately ive been freaking out about traveling alone with the kids and never being on a train before and not sure how all that works and i feel like our finances are just all over the place and then as soon as i am back in nc after the holidays im starting online college classes! Just soo much to do and im trying to shrink my suitcases since i will be the one having to carry these! Luckily the way there i dont gotta switch luggage over becuase you have to move it yourself if you have a train switch! wich is what i will be doing on the way back! Sucks tryingto pack clothes and gifts then hubby wants hs stuff sent to texas asap so i hope he gets and adress before friday. gonna go get some flat rate boxes from the post office!
