When do you start decorating? ~ 2010

Well Christmas is getting closer & closer. So when will you start decorating? Do you do the inside & outside of your home? How extensive do you decorate ~ do you go all out or just a few things here & there?

I usually start right before or right after Thanksgiving. I only do a tree & a few things here & there inside. I do my dinning table & have a few things I sit around but that is pretty much it. I have tons of christmas things I have packed up that have never been used that I guess I should try to sell.

We tend to start the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend. We have a couple of trees that we put up and lights outside. Other than that, we really don't do much decorating...
'cept for my Holy Family.. that is a definite that must go up every year...

I usually do it the day after thanksgiving. But i believe my DH is going to be putting up lights and stuff outside this weekend (he goes all out). May take him a little while to get it all the way he wants it. I tossed my old tree last year, so i need to buy another one. as soon i get that i will start decorating inside. I usually don't go all out for the inside just a few things :)

We start Tgiving weekend or soon after. I NEVER get to have the outside lights up as soon as I want because hubs takes forever to do it. One year he took so long to put them up that I left them on well into January so I could get at least a few weeks enjoyment out of them.

We too start right after Thanksgiving, that weekend usually. We do inside and a little outside, no lights outside, just pine garland around the porch with bows and Christmas picks.
Inside we do the whole house almost;) We do the tree, kitchen with place mats, table toppers, towels, pot holders, the bathroom w/shower curtain etc. DS (4) has a small tree he made in his room.
This is my most favorite time of the year so yes we go all out!! LOL

We will start the weekend after Thanksgiving. I love this time of year and wish we could go all out, but our small apartment doesn't have to room for it. We will have the tree and a few small things inside. Might decorate the patio again if the apartment does a contest again this year.

living in florida and cleaning out a new room I am actually starting the banisters now, lots of bows, lights will go up after Black Friday because you know where I will be

We usually start decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. I get our tree out and the kids decorate it themselves. They each have a tree in their room. I have several inside decorations and then outside I put some lights on our bushes. I would love for DH to put some lights on our house but he hates doing it so I don't bother him about it. We love to drive around and see all of the lights in our neighborhood though.

The weekend after Thanksgiving. But I'll probably pull the boxes out of the attic whenever I decide to put the Halloween containers back up there.

The tree will go up around my bday (12/11) Between me & my mom, we have tons of decorations and tend to rotate ornaments and what we put up around the house. I hang snowflakes and icicles at different lengths from the kids ceiling (using clear wire & thumbtacks) I might do that in the living room this year too...
I have 2 archs between my living room and dining room that I drape with lighted garland.

Candy canes line the front of the house and icicle lights from the roof. Last year I got 2 snowmen on clearance, so that will be a new addition this year. And I have a timer for all those outside lights, go on at dusk and off at 10.

I have Christmas fingertip towels and a soap dispenser for the bathroom. I saw the cutest shower curtain liner at BedBath&Beyond, I just might get it next week.

In the kitchen, I swap all my dishtowels & washcloths to Christmas themed ones.

Gosh, just writing about it makes me want to start decorating now!! LOL
