Ghosts and the Supernatural ~ 2010

With Halloween approaching, it can be a creepy time of year. Do you believe in ghosts? Have any scary supernatural-type experiences you want to share?

I do believe in ghosts.

I have a best friend that her house is haunted. I witnessed it first hand. Unexplained shadows, foot steps voices when there is no one there.

First off, I can not watch the Ghost Hunters shows at all...nope....I tried and it really freaked me out.
And I cant say I dont believe in them, b/c then I somehow think that will make them mad if they are real.

And it is weird that you posted this today, b/c 3 weird things happened in my house today..and nothing weird ever happens here. My sons toy turned on ...it was just laying on the table by itself (twice!) The toilet flushed and no one was in there...and then something made a loud banging noise and I never could figure it out.

Years ago when my husband and I were dating we were at my house. My Mom told us we need to put oil on every door frame because she felt we had bad spirits in the house. Well I was at the front door praying and putting the oil on it and nobody else was in the front. They were in the back of the house and all of a sudden someone was whispering in my ear my name. It was a scary whisper, I turned around and nobody was there.

Another time I was cooking when my youngest dd was a baby. I was very tired. She didn't sleep much so I was going on 2 hours of sleep because that is all she would sleep. Well I was cooking a casserole in a 350 degree oven and it was time to take the food out. I could barely keep my eyes open as I have only gotten 2 hours sleep for days. My daughter was not a sleeper, none of my kids were and they didn't take naps either. they cried alot so I was exhausted. I opened the oven and was attempting to reach in with my bare hands and grab both sides of the glass dish. All of a sudden as I was about an inch of burning myself very badly a huge loud man's voice screamed NO! I got so scared I didn't touch the dish and realized what I was doing. Nobody in my house but me heard it and I know who was protecting me like He always does.

Sometimes when I am alone and washing dishes I feel like I need a hug. Well I have had a hug many times while I was doing dishes. At first it scared me but then I realized it was God. I screamed but then He said it is me and then I look forward to that whenever He wants to.

I have seen dead people arise from the dead and deaf hear for the first time so I have come to expect and accept that there are supernatural things as hard as it is for some to believe. I believe because I have been through it all my life. I have seen a table shake by itself with nobody touching it. I have got money in my wallet when I didn't have any. I looked in it and prayed and then looked again and it had $20. I have had my gas tank go from empty with no money to get gas to a full tank. So yes I know these things happen and some are scary but some are amazing. I also saw my husband's brother (his brother died) at the funeral wearing a white robe with gold sash and smiling. I asked my kids if they saw something different there and they said yes you see him too? That gave me peace that he is happy now even though we are sad.

I am a Christian so although I do not believe in ghosts I do believe that my God can supernaturally do great things. I also know there are evil things on this earth also.

When my grandma pasted away almost 10 years ago now, she always told me that when she dies she is coming back to tickle my feet while I am sleeping. Guess what she did one night. I had a "dream" she was tickling my feet with the feather of her angel wings. I could vividly see he standing at the end of my bed tickling my feet. I woke with that feeling you have after someone just tickled you. I also heard her laugh and say I love you Jessica. Since then, that is what made me believe in ghosts.

When I am over my mom's house I am always feeling like I am being watched. I am constantly hearing male and female voices having a conversations and my brother has even thought I was standing in the hallway leading into his room the other night and I don't even live there anymore.
I have never visted a haunted place...I really want to though. I know that there are spirits in my mom house,(maybe my grandma, other relatives that have passed on, my brother swears he has seen my dad several times since his death almost 2 years ago in my mom's house, or other people who lived on the property before my mom's house was bulit......not far from my mom's house is the Sam Davis Home...historical place.......were my mom lives use to be all farm land so who knows what kind of history it has there.) and my friend's old homes or current house, I just want to experience it elsewhere I guess is what I am saying.

I believe in ghost and love watching Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures anything with the word ghost in it..lol
I've had a few things happen to me, the first thing that ever happened to me was after my grandma died(when I was young). I remember she would always have to have makeup on and I remember the smell of her powder, lipstick. Well a few months after she died I was home just sitting there and I swear I could smell her, I smelled her powder, lipstick it felt like she was sitting there right next to me.
Other things like the iron flying of the ironing board, me and my lil brother hearing a kid calling(more like crying) their mom, that made us run out the apt.
Ever since my BIL died weird things have been going on, hubby tells me that it's all in my head..I swear I see shadows and feel like someone is watching me and at times I get the urge to run out of the room. At times I wake up because I can hear someone calling me I hear noises. I try not to pay attention to things like that because if I do I will run out the house screaming... about 2 months ago some thing happened that it scared the crap out of me and I was ready to take of running.. I was in the kitchen and my cat was there with me when I heard someone walking on the roof of the house and it scared my cat also he was looking up at the ceiling like WTH. I know it wasn't an animal this was foot steps like someone walking up there so I tried to stay calm and went outside front and back and nothing there was no one out there.

I believe in ghosts. I've had too many personal experiences to say otherwise. My experiences:

1) Hearing my name when no one was there

2) Avoided a bedroom at my grandfathers house. Later found out my grandmother died of a heart attack in the room. She died when I was 4 and my mother never spoke of what happened.

3) Moved into an apartment where I smelt smoke, had my ankle pulled while I slept, heard footsteps in the bedroom. I also saw a ghost child run around the vestibule. I took a nap one day in the bedroom. My husband came home to find me sobbing in fear on the couch. My brother who lived on the floor below also smelt smoke in the unit.

4) Moved into another apartment. I came home and put my son in our bedroom. I heard loud laughing. I shrugged it off as a neighbor. The next morning, I saw a 6' white entity walk into the wall while washing dishes. Pictures from the bedroom showed an orb.

5) I've had a bunch of items fly off the shelf at me in the last 6 months. Two different bedrooms. Last Halloween, our cable box kept turning on and off until I screamed "cut it out, I know you want my attention!". The remotes sat untouched on my knee.

6) I looked out the window at 2 am one morning at the funeral home across the street. I called DH. We both saw a ghostly figure who looked out the window with the lights on in the room.

7) When I saw a dr, I asked what happened to Kansas in the backyard. There was a ghost sitting on the desk next to the dr. The dr's dog, Kansas, recently died.

8) I did a reading one day. I told the person that the deceased SIL loves the rocking chair in this persons house. A few days later, the person whom I told, came home to find their rocking chair moving back and forth for ten minutes straight.

9) I had a vision of an elderly lady wearing a shawl facing a very bright light. I was told her name was Elevyn. I was told to warn the one who was webbed foot, an IL and it would happen 5 weeks later . It was my MIL's aunt with that name. She wore a shawl, died exactly five weeks later. My MIL has webbed feet.

10) An entity followed me down the hall and back in one building. I could feel and hear them move with me.

11) My mother kept my grandfathers car that he died in (blood clot killed him while driving). We went to the car one day and it started before we touched the doors.

She also kept his hat in their house. One night, the remote sat on the chair arm rest while I watched tv. My mother was near the tv. We were the only two home. All of a sudden, the channels flipped and stopped at the spanish language station. I was into the Spanish language and culture heavily when this happened. The shades also opened and closed twice right after.

There is more but this is good taste of my experiences.

Yes I do believe. This experience was not scary, but did give me peace. I'll try to make it a short story, but I feel the story leading up to it needs to be told. :)

I came up on a car accident, it didn't seem very bad, she had just driven off of the edge of the road and hit a small stand of bushes and trees, just hard enough for her airbag to deploy. This was a major divided highway, but through a rural, empty area. She was still buckled in her seatbelt when me and another person on the scene broke her window to get inside, because we could not get her to respond to us. The inside of the car was covered in blood. She had a head wound and was in really bad shape.....a lot worse than it seemed she should be....when the paramedics arrived as soon as they started checking her out they removed all of us that had stopped away and got really secretive...but anyway, this lady was a lady in her 40's on her way to work....was less than 2 miles from her job, and shot herself while driving down the road...she died shortly after the paramedics ushered us away.

I had a really hard time with it even though deep down I knew there was nothing else that I could have done...I prayed every night for her because I didn't know what in her life was that bad...She was all I thought about for the next few days and it was really affecting my life, I was just so sad for her. Finally one night as I was sleeping I felt someone brush my hair off of my face, and whisper to me that it was ok and that it wasn't my fault. When I opened my eyes, there was a dark haired lady standing beside my bed smiling at me. I thought I was just dreaming until the next day her picture was in the paper and it was her. Even though everyone had told me the same thing, I was able to move on once I heard it from her.

I had just gotten into bed and my DH was in the bathroom getting ready to come to bed also. There at the foot of my bed was a saintly man dressed in a robe. I sat right up and asked him, "Now?" He replied but not with words, "No, not now. . . . and gave me a date. When my husband came out of the bathroom, I told him Jesus just came in here and I thought he was going to take me but he told me, "No, not now" and I told my DH the date he told me. I wasn't afraid and I didn't question the man further. I also told my family about it. I put it in the back of my mind and didn't dwell on it because it wasn't scarey. A few years later my sister was dying with cancer and when she was near the end, my other sister reminded me of the visit I had some years ago. Yes, my sister had died on the date that I was told. Here I thought the saintly man was there years ago telling me about my time but he was telling me about my sister. I have no doubt she's in heaven.

Then once after I came home from the hospital the morning that my mom had passed away, I opened my apartment door and she was there standing inside the apartment and she walked in front of the door and disappeared behind it. She was walking. She had been in a wheel chair for many years prior to her death.
