    Wrapping paper! ~ 2009

Help me find cheap cheap wrapping paper to stock up on! Now is the time to stockpile for years to come, and it doesn't "go bad" and my stockpile was finally wiped out this year.

I just caved in and bought 8 rolls at Barnes and Noble. They have a 50% off sale, so they were $4 each. I think that is still a ridiculous price for wrapping paper, but I have a ton of gift cards, so it didn't cost me anything. I stocked up years ago this way, and alas the well ran dry this year finally. Last year I kept waiting for their 75% sale, but every roll flew out the door by the end of the 50% sale.

I live in Bergen County, NJ and have lots of stores:
    cvs
    walgreens
    riteaid
    duane reade
    stop and shop
    a&p
    shoprite
    acme
    pathmark
    target
    walmart
    kmart
    target
    michales
    ac moore
    and more....

I am looking for dirt cheap paper for stockpiling. Last year I found huge bags of bows for .25 each at Shoprite and bought all 4 bags they had. That will last me for years.

I am originally from your "neck of the woods" so I know you are in shoppers paradise in Bergen County. If I were you, I would check out the Dollar tree, where things are always marked down to 50 cents from a dollar after Christmas. Also, you may want to check out The Christmas Tree Shops. I know there is one in Paramus. You never know what you may find there! Good luck and I hope this helps!

    That is a good idea!
I was hoping for maybe cheaper? ;-)

Oh! I forgot to add that it has to be this week only. I won't be available for all those great 75% coming up! :-(

Bought really nice wrapping paper tonight at Walmart 1.25/roll made in the USA. Maybe not the best deal.

walgreens was a dollar a roll for 50 square feet, that didn't excite me. walmart was 1.25 for 90 square feet, i did buy a couple at that price, i'm still holding out for a better deal to really stock up. I'm stocked up on bows/gifts tags from when they were free at cvs a couple weeks ago.

They were marking them down to .50/roll at my local Acme. I didn't pick any up though...I really stocked up on paper with the Hallmark q that was out earlier this month:)

If you have a Big Lots around check them out.. their pre-Christmas prices were 2-3.00 each and they have the paper that has a lot on them so they would likely be 1.00-1.50 for them.. I cant check the Sq. ft per roll cause I have put all of mine away.. But I buy all my paper there because of the price and the amounts on each roll. HTH

I would only pay for dollar store prices...so purchase it there, unless you can find it under a dollar elsewhere.

Look at the size of the roll as well.

Had good luck with Big Lots too.

My WalMart was $1.25 a roll. I got 8 rolls and 2 bags of bows for $11. Not the best, but I was down to nothing and this will last at least 2 years.
