I don't have my tree up.........STILL (doing tonight)
I don't have any presents wrapped yet
I'm so far behind on everything. I'm not in the holiday mood this year and I wish I could skip Christmas this year..........which wouldn't be a problem.......except I have a 5 year old DD.

Sounds like you need DH to take DD out somewhere so you can catch up! He can take her to the mall and stand in line for 4 hours to see Santa .

We put our tree up a couple weeks ago. But yea i am behind on the wrapping big time. I like to do it ahead of time that way i can just sit it under the tree on Christmas eve and not have to worry about wrapping it as well. Because we go to my sister n laws that night to exchange gifts and by the time we get home the kids are going to bed but my 6 year old is so excited it takes him alittle time to fall asleep. So yea looks like i will have a late night tonight and tomorrow.

maybe i'll just wear my 4th of july tshirt and say i forgot. that'd fly, right?

If it were up to me we wouldnt have one up. I didnt put one up last year because I had a 1 1/2 year old and it wasnt happening. This year hes 2 1/2 and I still wish we didnt have one up. If it werent for Dh doing it on his own it wouldnt get done.
It has been redecorated, had ornaments broken --many many many of them and we dont have that many to start with, and has toppled over a time or three. and dont get me wrong Im always paying attention to him I mean I can not go to the bathroom without him torturing that tree. Oh yea and he peed on it. Well on the skirt but still. Oh thats all DS not DH lol
The tree is small its ugly its deformed looking. We have very few ornaments because we didnt even get a tree till the year before he was born bc we lived in a teeny hole in the wall and had a dog to boot so no tree.
My husband loves decorating the tree he always does my moms for her as well. I on the other hand could care less if we had one and Id almost prefer we didnt.


I did atleast shop some during the year where as last year everything was last minute. So, I do have gifts but most I just finally wrapped last night and still have some left to wrap. Gonna try to do that after DS goes to bed if I can stay awake that long.

Ran to Kmart and got my friends lil girl something and my DS stocking stuffers and another gift on Sunday.
Just finally got my friends and my DHs gifts in the mail today.
I still havent gotten my mom/dad anything more than a photo calender...kinda need to do that I guess..
Got my sisters and MIL subscriptions for magazines...easy done but just did it a couple days ago lol
Picked up my neices/nephews stuff thru the year and ordered my neice a zhu zhu
to only find out my other sister also got her one for half of what I paid for mine! Just got it in yesterday and need to wrap it.

Most of my shopping was done via mail/internet order or done at Target in the summer and 1 Kohls trip where I had to be there anyway and then one where I sent my sister. I hate shopping, I hate the crowds, I hate traffic, I know Bahhumbug right? But I love seeing DH and DS happy and spending time with my family. I just hate the retail part of it all.

Ive asked repeatadly that my sisters and nephew dont buy for us and they do anyway. Id really rather we all use the $ we spend on each other on things none of us need on a child who is in need. Ive told them next year Im spending $100 total in their honor for a child in need and adults are not getting gifts from us and Id really love it if theyd do the same instead of buying for us to spend what theyd spend on us on a kid in need.

So, if it were left to me no you wouldnt be the only one!

My mom put up her tree last night....she only did it because I kept telling her she had too...funny thing is though she is in Illinois and we are in Maryland so I wouldn't have known if they didn't put it up anyways...I really think she did it because they are getting the house appraised today and she didn't want to look like a total goof not having the tree up yet.

My tree is not up yet, I haven't wrapped any gifts yet, not one decoration has been put up either inside or outside of the house and, I didn't bake anything this year.

Hopefully, I'll get the tree up earlier than I did last year (10:30 pm on Xmas Eve) - only put lights and garland on it then. This year, I'm shooting for actual ornaments and maybe some candy canes.

My son is 16 and asked today if we were going to have Xmas here or just at my sister's :(

I did send my son to school with Wags Xmas bags for his lunch and made his sandwiches on red and green bread

ROFL.........I feel like I wrote this post? Oh ya, when my DD was young.....we skipped tree first year but then my DH and EVERYONE kept calling me scrooge.........so whatever......
Put up a darn tree next year.........ended up calling the ER cuz DD decided to EAT a bulb--all I heard was crunch.........it those plain ole regular bulbs....all busted up inside her mouth......luckily no cuts and the ER said she would be fine.

The following year we got to decorate TWO trees.......
I couldn't flipping breath in my own house..........wheezing and sounding horrible.......my inhalers for asthma was NOT working whatsoever. No health insurance and many bills later, found out I was allergic to the fricken tree. Done damage to my lungs which took months to heal with meds. Then borrowed a fake tree..........couldn't afford to run out and buy one. Waited till after christmas, scored great deal on a fake tree.

I have NO ROOM in my house for a flipping tree.

Anyways.......I'm the same way.......HATE SHOPPING, prefer to shop online, HATE absolutely HATE crowds, HATE traffic too.........
