I don't remember any real memorable present wrapped under the tree...but my oldest daughter was born right before Christmas and so I considered her my Christmas present (after trying for three years to conceive) and she would be my most special gift.

    My DS1.

The entire church was hoping I would deliver early,
so that they would have a REAL baby for the Christmas story,
but there I was waddling down the aisle at midnight service on Christmas Eve...

DS1 was born on Christmas Day at 1:36 in the afternoon

The best gift I received was the time spent with family. I have so many fond memories of my maternal grandfather whom I miss dearly. I am so glad I have photographic memory.

The best gifts for me are the looks on my boys faces when they walk downstairs Christmas morning. And the hugs and kisses that follow.

As a child, we were very poor. My mother used to make all of our gifts. One year, my grandmother got my sister and I baby dolls. My mom asked a man down the street - his name was Cotton and he was a barber - to make us some baby doll cribs out of scrap wood, which he did. My mom sewed doll clothes for our dolls and made a little pillow and quilt for the crib. On Christmas Day my sister and I found the dolls tucked into the cribs underneath the tree. We loved them. We dressed and undressed them in all their clothes. I have a picture of my sister and I with our dolls and our smiles could not have been brighter. My sister was probably 4 years old and she does not remember being poor or the dolls - but I will never forget.

I would have to say that my favorite Christmas gift ever has been a comforter that my mom gave me a few years back. It was a really rough year for us, and for some reason, that comforter made us feel like a king and queen!

I'm cheating....I have 2. The last 2 years my mom has gotten great gifts for me and then included a very senimental one.

Last year was an awesome scrapbook album starting with my grandparents photos when they were kids....and then my parents etc and other family members as they great throughout the years. Details written out about when and where and who the photos are of. It will be great to share with generations to come

And this year my favorite was a cookbook she made. She hand wrote out all of her best recipes of hers and grandmas....with details of exactly what to do and not to do for each recipe. She is a great cook and I know each of these gifts will bring me joy for years to come and I know she spent a ton of time on each
