Lostinthemission - I did this last year. I mostly make dresses and skirts so far. Definitely follow through with it - it is soooo much fun! Watch the sales flyers for Joann Fabrics, Hancock Fabrics, whatever stores you have close by. They have patterns on sale for 99 cents many weeks, and this is when I stock up! Good luck with the sewing!
You know, "things" will come and go. Maybe you go through rough times and lose your car or your furniture, or other stuff. A college degree, though, is one thing that can never be repossessed.
After a lot of false starts, failed marriages, etc., I worked my way through college and graduated at age 26, Magna Cum Laude. That is set in stone. No one can ever take that away from me.

Have Purina weight circles, dog and cat? I'll trade.
The queen of April Fools was here.
My goals are:
1. Pay off our credit card debt. Our 8 year old computer died in the summer and I splurged on a Mac. That is the only c.c. debt we have, though.
2. Try to put more money in savings. I hate credit card debt, and have been putting all our extra money towards that instead of saving any. But if something unexpected pops up, I won't have anything saved to pay for it, and I'll have to charge it. I want to break that cycle.
3. Start doing yoga again- I still have 5 extra lbs. around the midsection and my baby is almost a year old!
4. Try new recipes and cook more from scratch. I'm trying to get away from overly processed foods.
5. Get various little projects/repairs done in the house. For instance, our fridge has been leaking water onto the top shelves for months. (We have bowls in there to catch the drips.)
6. Get our house more organized. People who know me already think I'm a cleaning/organizational freak, but I think there's always room for improvement.
7. Get more sleep! The boys are in bed by 8:30pm, but I always seem to find a million things that have to be done, and don't get to bed until late.
So my goals are
I want to get a new job and quit the old one. I am just not making enough anymore. Im a server.
I have 15lbs to lose. So in about 10 months i've lost a total of 75lbs!I have to do more weight training, im lazy. lol
Add $7000.00 to my savings. My taxes will cover a big chunk of this $4000.00. So I need to save $3000.00
I'm hoping for a good year.![]()
Financially my goals are:
By May we will be completely debt free w/ the exception of mortgage, and we recently refinanced so we have 15 yrs for that, my goal is to get an additional $20K in savings by years end, we are unsure as to what 2011 will bring, this is our safety net. Last year I made $6k on stockpile sales, if Kmart supers are out of that picture I may not be able to match that, but if I came close that would be wonderful, as it will all go in the bank too, like last year.
So my mantra is save save save, w/ the exception of one major splurge I am doing for myself, I'm justifying that by my last years sales paying for it..yeah, that's it, that makes it ok...why can't I spend on myself & not feel guilt? I'm more hesitant with the impending tax increases I'm about to face, but part of me makes me more determined that I will NOT let the government take this opportunity from me!
I plan on joining Weight Watchers this week....joined one time before and lost about 30lbs....which is what I need to lose again....
Save for a new car....and pay for it in cash....I am currently debt-free and don't ever want to owe anyone again....
Spend more time with my Mom....she is in a nursing home and I never know, how long I have with her.
Become more organized....get rid of stuff around the house....junk...
And of course, grow spiritually....I believe you can never have enough of God...and with Him, there is always more to learn...![]()
I want to lose weight - redundant, right? But in January-March of last year I lost 50 lbs, so I know I can do it. I got pregnant and gained 25 pounds, but I'm currently 5 lbs less than where I was when I conceived the baby. So I'm going to get back on the horse....soon (hehehe).
We need to beef our savings back up...we've got some, but maternity leave and hospital bills took their toll.
Loving life with my boys down in central Florida
VOTE FOR ME...OR ELSE!!!
My main goal is to move down south. I saw one place in VA that Im interested in. Other than that my goals are to save more, esp since my car is running low. Use coupons a whole lot more, try to get BF to let me do the shopping-if we're still together, and be more organized.
Back after a brief hiatus and trying to get life back on track.
Saving up for a new used car $0/$5000![]()
