Can you tell us a little about her?! What she likes, hobbies, ect? Where she lives? Price range?!
:)
Every year my mother tells me she either doesn't want and/or doesn't need anything for Christmas. And I end up flopping on the gift that I get her anyway. She is in her late forties. Any suggestions/gift ideas? This year, the gift will have to be mailed - so nothing huge or heavy![]()

My in laws want for nothing. I always make them a Kodak calendar of their grand furkids. They love it and I have fun making it. It lasts all year long and isn't something that will fall to the wayside. Everyone needs a calendar!
I got my mom a birthstone necklace off etsy last year. She loved it.
Does she work? Does she stay home? How about a gas card? How about a gift card to her favorite place to dine? How about a monthly cleaning at her house by you? How about a gift card to her beauty store or where ever she gets her hair cut? How about a new frying pan or cake pan?
I'm the mother who is in 40's too and I wouldn't want anything that will sit on shelves and collect dust, clothes that are not my taste, jewelry that don't go with my clothes and no more pictures that will go into the albums and never get to look at them again. I would love to have my kids to be nice to each other and love each other and the one thing I would love to get from them is to offer their help around the house once a while.
I wish my kids would do something that I would love to get ~ a gift card to my favorite fabric store as I'm a quilter myself! They can't afford as they are only teenagers.
Hope it helps as I know that I am not your mom...
I love to save more by use coupons!
How about a gift card for a massage or one to her favorite hair dresser, or to a spa. Those are all ones that I think any woman would like to have. I know I would lol.
Raising children(especially teens) is like being pecked to death by a chicken
In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
Sounds like my mom. Last Christmas we got went and got group pictures taken (me, dh, the kids, my brother, and his gf) and framed them. For her birthday I orderd a travel coffee mug from snapfish with a picture of my kids on it.
Always ISO winetags and rebate forms good in IL.
we got my MIL a tote bag with the kids' pictures on it. She used it to carry her stuff to work for awhile.

Gift cards to stores where she shops regularly. Gift certificates for things like an oil change, carpet cleaning, lawn service.
Address label, stamps.
Pay her electric bill for the month, when she receives a zero amount due in Jan. she will love you forever! (This my favorite)
