What to get a mother who says she doesn't want/need anything?

For my mother and mother in law and grandmother in law, we give them framed photos that we had taken of our girls. My mom and MIL are getting beautiful 10x13's that I know they will love! The one year for MIL's b-day we got her photo albums for each of the girls with some pics in them to start her off. Those gifts have been the best received ever and I always see the sparkle of wet eyes as they look at them!
The one year when I was oh so poor, my mom got a poem from me for CHristmas. I felt so bad that I just couldn't afford to buy her everything... she still has the poem years later and is still so honored and proud because of it.
Good luck. I will always be the mom that comes up with some idea... probably gift certificates to coupon sites, lol.

That is what I did a few years ago but with snapfish. Also the cute 5X5 brag photo albums are good. My mom keeps hers in her knitting bag to pull out at every sew bee meeting.

This year I plan on making a simple blanket/quilt. I am going to cut the squares big and have the kids decorate them then sew it all together. Nothing fancy as far as quilt goes but special.
