Default Springfield, MO Turkey Price Wars

It's that time of year and I'm very excited about turkey! I thought we should start a thread to keep track of the best turkey prices in Springfield, MO. Here are the prices that I know of thus far:

Price Cutter has Best Choice turkeys for $.39/lb with a $20 purchase

Walmart has turkeys for $.40/lb for the Riverside and Jennie O brands and $.60/lb for Honeysuckle, $1.82/lb for a hickory smoked Honeysuckle, and $.98/lb for a Butterball. They also have Honeysuckle turkey breasts for $1.42/lb.

Dillons has Jennie O for $.39/lb, Private Selection for $.49/lb, Honeysuckle for $.59/lb, and Butterballs for $.99/lb with shopper cards.

Do you have a favorite brand of turkey?

On the Holiday thread, they said that Honeysuckle for $0.60/lb. Is their really a difference between Honeysuckle, riverside, or jenny oh? I usually get the riverside because its the cheapest, and it tastes good.

Ok, I finally found the discussion. That was a lot of clicking! They were saying that at Walmart the Honeysuckle was $.60/lb, and the Riverside and Jennie O brands were both $.40/lb. I will add those to the first post.

I don't know anything about brands of turkeys, as this will be the first Thanksgiving that I will actually be paying attention to turkeys. My MIL gets a free turkey through her work that she usually gives me, but this year I am working really hard to do freezer meals and make ahead meals and now I have a deep freeze, so I would like to get a couple of turkeys.

    One 12-pound Grade A turkey* $0.40/lb
Three 11 to 15.5-ounce cans Green Giant vegetables
Two 14-ounce cans Ocean Spray cranberry sauce $0.88 each
Three 6-ounce boxes of Stove Top stuffing $0.78 each
One 5-pound bag of red potatoes $2.00 each
One 12-count package of Sara Lee dinner rolls
    One 22-ounce pumpkin roll cake

I Didnt get the other stuff, and it was packed in the store tonight. Does anyone else know the prices.

I bought a 15lb Honeysuckle Turkey for $8.22 tonight, I dont think that was bad. That was with a $1/1 Honeysuckle Q too. Ozark and Nixa had a lot of the$0.40/lb Riverside and $0.60/lb Honeysuckle Turkeys.
