Default For what it's worth

Okay, I did not see a thread or place like this anywhere here but if it is can someone please direct me there.
The idea of this thread is to either ask or tell about toys and games and other objects that someone may consider for gift giving. (Hope that's clear)

Pictureka! - We really, really love this game. The directions are simple to follow and we haven't gotten bored with it yet. (got it last year for Christmas--this is the original one)

Has anyone gotten the Crayola crayon maker or the color explosion globe? I was considering those two but not sure if it's worth it.

We bought our nephew the Crayola crayon maker a few years ago. He only used it once. It was definitely a miss. Bummed me out because I really thought he would like it.

BTW: I think he was 9 at the time.
