Actually, in our town there IS an age limit. TOTing is from 6-8 for kids 12 and under.

We live in one of the nicest neighborhoods in our town. This year, we saw someone in an SUV with a trailer attached. There were about 15 kids on the back, and they were NOT from our area.

That pissed me off.

FYI: if someone doesn't have their outside lights on and the door open, it's pretty safe to assume that they are not participating in handing out candy. That's been the "rule" for as long as I can remember.

Why would that tick you off? We didn't live in a "neighborhood" and had to drive 15 minutes to the closest neighborhood to go TOT'ing when I was a kid.

It doesn't have to be a miley thing..........strippers have kids too and you would be surprised at what their kids know. Maybe she was dressing up like mom ?

Because we are not that rural. Actually, in my neighborhood the houses are farther apart and we have no sidewalks. I don't mind one family WALKING through the neighborhood, but importing and extra dozen kids is just greed.

Maybe it was just a bunch of friends who wanted to go together?:shrug7: My son and about 10 kids went to a friends house in another neighborhood to go TOT. I really don't care who or how many kids come to our neighborhood for TOT. In fact, I wish we had more this year. I have a ton of candy left over.

we get alot of teens in our area i totally understand not appreciating the rude ones but the ones that are dressed and say trick or treat i think no age limit is needed, its just a fun thing in life and might as well enjoy it till you cant...life is tough so gotta live up the good days...im against age limits as long as they make an attempt at a costume and have manners...its all in fun anyways

i just read quickly through a couple posts and im surprised some actually get upset to have loads of trick or treaters because they didnt come from their town. i have never looked at it that way at all...i think its a safety isssue when groups of kids go together and i have always told my kids to go with other kids, and who knows if they all met up on the street and ended up at the same house?? the only i can say is its annoying to me when its past nine and my doorbell rings...then its time to go home but other than that i dont mind that kids group together or arent from my town or how old they are:shrug7:i think i didnt have such a great experience as a kid and some years i wasnt able to go since i had to rake the lawn or some nonsense or no money for a costume so i really get into the whole halloween thing...i hope nobody takes offense to my comments

I personally think it's more of a safety issue that someone put 15 unrestrained kids on to a wire mesh trailer behind their car, and drove quite a distance with them.

But that's just me.
