Default Re: What are you giving trick or treaters this year?

I'll be buying some fun size the day before. We absolutely can't keep anything like that here. DH is a major chocophile. And twice now he's gone through over 100 super cheap Granola bars, so I can't seem to keep those in stock either! Maybe next year I'll plan ahead and hide things better so I'll have free goodies for Trick or Treat!

Tess

Wow some of y'all give out awesome goodies to your trick-or-treaters!
Gum, fruit snacks, and granola bars? If I had gotten that as a kid I would've thought I had hit jackpot.

Once word gets around, I don't think he'll be giving out much, lol.

I'll just give out the standard candy here. I'm in a townhouse, so I don't know how much traffic I'll get. It isn't like the candy will go to waste!!

I have put tgether little bags with a granola bar, a apple juice box, a pack of gum, a full size Reseses PB cup and a halloween pencil. The only thing I paid for was the Halloween bags and pencils. Got those on clearance last year after halloween for something like a penny each.

I have, so far - 4 bags of cheapy halloween candy from the dollar store (the kids liked it better than the snack size hersheys, I swear!) 4 bags of hershey's type stuff and 2 bags of pixie sticks. Last year I had 6 bags and ran out in the middle of the evening.

Since halloween is on a Saturday this year, I expect to need a LOT more candy than last. This is only our second halloween (but only 12 months and 1 week) in the house, so we're trying to give out the goodies and not get egged!

I'll be giving out Halloween mini candy bars, skittles, etc. If we run out the late comers will get full sized candy bars (Mars, Reese's, Fling) and gum! I have a ton of full sized bars, but we had over 100 trick or treaters last year...I don't have that many, lol!

We do candy free, I bought a couple of those bags that have 20 little cans of Play-Doh, some mini Halloween themed coloring books and little pkgs. of crayons, and some various little dollar store type toys and trinkets, like yo-yo's and little flashing pumpkins, monster finger puppets and such.

I also threw in a few little plush pumpkins and black cat stuffed toys that I got for a few cents last year, for the little tiny ones.

I wanted to get some Play doh at Kohls but as soon as they went past 40% off they were gone before I could get there! They have the same packs that don't have the halloween themed bag but they're only 30% off!
