Re: A tisket, a tasket: what to put in that gift basket?
Oh, and as to WHAT it is, it's just what it sounds like, a purse made from a bra, it's really easy and the original idea was supporting breast cancer.
I'm in the DB too!

Re: Any pics of stockpile-composed Gift Baskets? Need creative inspiration...
I think the all holiday basket is a great idea. I'm getting ready to put together two gift baskets for the cleaning people in my office- one man and one woman- going to use some of my Hallmark $5.00 coupons tomorrow to add a little something.

Just saw momtwo's post and pics. What a nice gift idea for anybody who entertains and celebrates all holidays! Thank you for sharing details of how you put it together and all the pics. Very cute! :-)

Re: Gift bags/basket ideas?
I dont have any pics but last year I made a "tired feet" one in a dish washing pail thingy-- I put in a loofa, foot soak, body wash, slippers, towel, etc. A "bbq" theme - apron, BBQ tools, steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, etc. For a friend who likes to cook, cookie mix, apron, cookie cutters, bottle of coke, dish towels, etc. See how you can use stockpile items and add others to round it out. I gave some unique gifts that I think were enjoyed and I didnt have to spend too much.

Re: Gift bags/basket ideas?
These are some of the " themes " i have been thinking of :
" Movie night " - you can put all things that go with that , this is what i did :
Bought a cheap ' plastic " table cover - and used that as a " wrap " it was practical since my friend only had to " unwrap it , and it was already all served - than when done all she had to do is " wrap together " and throw away- easy clean up.
I included- different kind of popcorn, crunch'n munch, lot's of candies - fun size etc.
soda the " small " cans, and capri sun for kids. You can include a " dvd" or not- it depends on your budget etc.
" house cleaning " - you can include so much from your stock pile probably "
- cleaning gloves, sponges, lysol wipes, sprays, detergent ( you can use the samples ) etc.
" school supply " - theme - if you have any " kids " - i believe any parent appreciates any thing they don't have to buy :)
" italian cooking " - pasta/ sauces/ oregano /pizza kit..
" office desk theme " - any thing you can think of that can be used on a desk
organizational cups/ trays/ pens/ sticky notes, tape /whole punch, stapler .. copy paper? , nad sanitizer, .. don't know .what ever you find " cheap " or maybe already have ..
" coupon theme :) " for a friend that is thinking about " starting " couponing or is just starting ? - a binder you found on clearance, some basket ball card holders , scissors ,
three whole pockets with zippers ( the ones that go into the binder ) .. you know what's needed when you starting out :)
" ice cream theme " - any thing you can think of for a " ice cream social event " :)
cones/ waffles/ root beer - for the " float" , ice cream serving spoon, , fudge, maybe " nuts" you know the ones that go as topping,
that's all i can think of right now :) HTH

Re: Ideas For Gift Bags / Baskets For The Holidays ~ Post Yours Here
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...I received this as a teacher's gift at Christmas one year and I loved it. It was a Mason jar filled with M&M's with the following tag attached:
The Chocolate Lover's Survival Kit
At the first sign of anger,
eat a RED one.
Eat a BLUE one to
minimize depression.
To relieve stress,
eat a GREEN one.
If you feel a headache
coming on,
eat an ORANGE one.
Eat a YELLOW one
to cheer you up.
You can eat the BROWN
ones at any time.
If all symptoms occur
at the same time,
EAT THE WHOLE JAR!
The jar was decorated in a Christmas theme, but you could easily adapt this to any occasion. Enjoy!
