Play Horror Triva


Spend some time before the party collecting horror movie trivia. Make a list of questions & answers & don't let anyone see them.

Dim the lights in the room & add candles for spooky ambiance. You could play a horror movie in the background ( place on mute so guests can hear you ).

Several different ways to play:

1. Divide your guests into teams & let them compete against each other. Give prizes to the winning team members
2. No teams & give prize for each correct answer
3. No teams & give prize to the person who gets the most answers correct

Here are a few more:

• Best Costume Contest ~ Be sure that your guests know to arrive in costume. You can have various categories to judge such as scariest, funniest, sexiest, and silliest costume.
• Bobbing for Apples ~ The winner is whoever gets the most apples.
• Newlywed Game ~ The couple who answers the most questions correctly is the winner.
• Charades ~ Write down different words or phrases pertaining to the Halloween season & have guests break up into teams.
• Guessing Games ~ This game can have endless variations, such as how many candy corns are in the jar.
• Scavenger Hunt ~ Hide various items indoors, outdoors or both & give lists to teams of guests to find. Be sure the list contains festive Halloween items such as pumpkins, cut-out black cats, masks & candy. A scavenger hunt requires some work & planning but is a great way for friends to have fun.

A slip of the Tongue

Create a list of 15 - 20 words that each of your guests should attempt not to say during your Halloween party. Most of these should be Halloween themed such as candy, trick, treat, ghost costume, etc.

As your guests enter the party, give each guest 5 - 10 ( you determine the # ) candy bars & the list of "forbidden words." Any time someone catches a guest saying a forbidden word, he can ask that guest for one of their candy bars. The game continues until the end of the party with the player having the most candy bars being the winner. Make sure to have a special non-gender specific spooktacular gift for the winner.
