No, Walmart hasn't had layaway since 2006. I think Kmart still has it though.

If you don't think you'll get your check in time, maybe look into a Walmart CC? Put the TV on the CC, then pay it off as soon as you get your check?

Do any of you shop for Black Friday online? I did this last year, and the stores had the SAME stuff online that they did in the stores.

I was wondering about this and have been doing some searching to see if store will be able to purchase the items at the Black Friday prices on line. I have several things a Walmart I'm wanting BUT I watch my neice - neices this year since my sister had another baby in September. She works at the bank and they are open on Friday (love watching the girls, I have boys so its nice to have little girls around)

    Walmart BF wants:

Portable Basketball hoop $99 (For Boys)
Basketball $5 (2 one for each)
Football $5 (5 year old wants for his birthday in February)
2 board game pack - battleship \ connectfour $9 (For boys)

8" LCD Digital Photo Frame $29 (For MIL)
    Better Homes Bath Towels $4

One of the 46" LCD TVs - preferable the Samsung which is a Saturday only sale. The Sony or the RCA would be OK also.

steamfast steam mop, $25 (reg 49.99) - been wanting one of these for awhile! getting one for me and one for my mom too.

... I just started looking at BF ads... ack! :)
only other thing I can think of that I really need is a sheet set or two. and of course stuff for the kiddos...
