I've never shopped on Black Friday, so anyone have any pointers? I know most of the store adds show a TV, but then they only have 2 in stock. Any secret way to buy it the night before or something like that?

I want to fianance it on one of the store cards -no credit for 12-24 months. Any idea if any stores will have this available?
We got a 50" Samsung plasma tv last year at Wal-Mart on BF. I think it was $797. After taxes, the extended warranty and a stand it was just over $1000. Just an FYI though, if I could go back I would have gotten an LCD, not a plasma. Screen burn sucks with plasma. We have been lucky and don't have any burn but it is very possible, especially with all HD channels not being full screen and all stations having their logos on the bottom corner.

Nuggetnine,

I had been wondering about the refurbished ones. Are they done by the actual manufacturer or by the seller? I have heard from people that have them that they don't ever loose suction. Would you agree?

Do any of you shop for Black Friday online? I did this last year, and the stores had the SAME stuff online that they did in the stores..I think it's fun to go out and shop, but hubby whines about it and says he prefer I do it online. lol. At least he doesn't care what I buy or how much it is! lol

I can't wait for black friday - the adrenaline is already running thru my body.

My DD is 27 and DS is 15 so it is harder to shop for them now. All DS wants is money so he can buy a car when he turns 16 in Feb. We have a spare Pathfinder he can use all the time but says it is a "chick suv".

I am looking for some good deals on laptops, ps3, fishing gear and clothes for DH.

Any ideas for my MIL who is in a nursing home would be appreciated!!

I work at WM, and I'm def. going to have to work BF. I may not have to go in til 7 though *I'm hopin*

If I do any shopping, it'll only be at WM (don't have much else in town). So far out of the BF merchandise I've seen coming into the store, its nothing I want or need. Of course, I haven't seen everything yet.

If I get anything, it'll probably be some towels, sheets, other home stuff. Maybe some DVDS or a new smaller digital camera.
