Ok my question is similar to the one below. If you shop online are the prices usually the same as in ads? And you can start shopping at 12:01 ? I could be all over this if so.
What's with all the rebates? I've gone through a few ads and all the good stuff is "after rebate":hectic1:.
Take care, Mary Beth

The best things in life are free...After that comes the stuff you have coupons for.
I am wondering the same thing, specifically about jc penney, I'm about to cash in for coinstar and found that there are no machines that give old navy giftcards:frown: nearby me, so as of right now, my best options is either a cvs g/c or jc penney ecertificate, and I would like to use it asap for xmas, and i don't forsee that w/the cvs g/c.
Also, anyone have any news about the children's place, specifically the outlet store? I got a g/c for cash back and i can only use it instore, not online, but i am not sure what types of deals TCP outlets have on BF.
New baby in the house so I am couponing lightly!
I have never BF'd, but am considering running to WM to pick up a doll. My nearest super is a 24 hour. Can I go in at 4:30 and place the item in my cart and check out at 5:00 at the BF sale price?
Happy Thanksgiving all!
I feel this year BF is not as exciting as few years past. I already got what I want from BF this year by purchased it online. It's the Kodak 10 MP that's on sale at Target for $89.00. I purchased it this morning from home and just pay shipping $6.99. It's a good deal and I don't have to wait in the cold weather. Also, Amazon will have really good deals on DVDs tomorrow from 2am-11 am Pacific time, so I will all over that and I'm practically done with my BF habit.
Anyway, Have a lovely Turkey day!
Hi all! I usually hate BF but this year was actually fun! I only went to Walmart and Walgreens , ( thank you cvs for offering your deals early!) , and I went with my 17 yo brother which is always a blast! I don't know if it was because there are less people out shopping or what but everyone was friendly and we got what we wanted. Walmart matching prices was awesome!! I hope everyone had as nice a time today. Merry Christmas everyone!
NOW SERIOUSLY EVERYONE!!!
- anyone who is reading this now - PLEASE! LET ME talk to all you american women out there reading this notice! - and EXCUSE ME, just while I speak from the heart of a BRITISH WOMAN!
I shopped the thanksgiving sales, just like a "crazy american woman" would, (no offence intended!)"at night, alone, in the dark, at some ungodly hour in the morning!"
It truely is a 'military operation', isn't it! You have to be ready and armed with a credit card and a 'game plan' of stores, opening times and 'xmas wish lists' so you can fulfill your mission successfully!!!
4am in Bealls, just a few crazy shoppers like me there, and a little gift from bealls for turning up too! Nice!
5am in Walmart - For one item on sale that i needed for my daughter for xmas Walked straight in and out, those Walmart Shoppers are VICIOUS you know!I was NOT going to mess around with those crowds!
5.10am I was back to Bealls for the free giftwrapping service!listening to christmas music having my wrapping done for me and taking a much needed bathroom stop! And awaiting the next store I needed, to open up for me!
6am I was all alone, standing in Game Stop, picking over used games Buy 2 get 1 free!I was the first one in there for at least 30 minutes! (The website had advertised 7am openings but I had spoken with the manager directly a few days earlier, and he told me it would be a 6am Start!
) it was GREAT, I was totally alone!!! HOORAY!!!
6.30am in another gamestore but not much for sale there, :frown: that was pretty empty too, not surprisingly!
6.40am Back to Bealls again to waste some time and buy a few more items I hadn't noticed at 4am that morning,(not surprised with my eyes half closed, are you?)
then off to another area of shops, nearer my home....roads were pretty empty considering the hour of the day and the sales were on! (not many people about really!)
7.50am at Game Over for their 8am opening!! To continue looking for 'games' for the family...(I don't even play them, so all this madness it for the kids and DH!) I was the only one there for the first 10 minutes cos they let me in 10 mins early! hehe!
8.15 Back to SuperWalmart for a couple of items that i hadn't bothered fighting with the crowds with at 5am this morning!
Then back home to put my feet up with some leftover thanksgiving turkey and a much needed rest at about 9am!!!
Now here is my POINT!!!! WHAT A "CRAZY" IDEA BLACK FRIDAY IS!!!
"apparently"......... The American Woman Can shop like a demon for thankgivng dinner, spend all night cooking the turkey and preparing the food, spend the next day whipping up 5 or 6 different deserts, continue cooking all morning, spend all day serving it , eating it and all night clearing up the kitchen, the dishes and the pots and pans, then within hours she is off to the stores in the middle of the night to Shop for xmas for the entire family!
Wow that is pretty impressive isn't it! Society must think the normal American Woman must be SuperWoman, if you ask me!
Now in England, that would never work, cos we like a "bloody good drink" (please excuse my language!) on our holiday celebrations! ....and the hangover wouldn't allow ANYONE to get out of bed for THAT time in the morning!
So for the BRITISH WOMAN - .....
just a normal SALE @ 9am 'get here IF you can but don't worry if you cant because our stuff will be on Sale for at least a week, so no rush ok?, you just get your head feeling better and we know we will see you at some point and then you can spend lots of lovely money in our store, at your own time, at your convenience, we can't wait to see you soon, i don't care how you get here, just get here, IF, you can!...... is just fine for the English Mother of the Family!
I miss the 'sanity' of England sometimes, drink, get drunk, sleep it off, recover and shop later..... much later! And when Mama's happy - Everybody's happy! Aint THAT the truth?
So here I am now - 'sober, tired, miserable, exhausted and broke!'
I fell asleep by 8pm....couldn't keep my eyes open and totally MISSED my ONE NIGHT of hilarious british comedy on BBC America!
The shops are in the BLACK and our family is in the RED!
I was wide awake at 5am in the morning cos my sleeping pattern is all messed up!
And I have been answering emails at some ungodly hour in the morning for something to do, while family is fast asleep in La La Land! (THAT IS SOOOOOOO NOT FAIR!)
and I have a terrible cold too and feel sick as a dog! (WIMPER WHIMPER, WHINE, WHINE!)
...so....MERRY STOOPID CHRISTMAS!!!:shrug7::shrug7:
WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT?:shrug7::shrug7:
Do you feel my pain???![]()
What an amateur I am!!! :frown:
I gotta hand it to ya -
You American women are simply AMAZING!!!!!!!!![]()
