Don't know about keeping them fresh. Maybe put them in the freezer?
However, I would use them for s'mores!
You know, the marshmallow treats that used to come out only at Easter but now you get them every holiday? There's always a few left over at 90% off day, and I love them. What can we do with those? Anything?
What about ideas to keep them fresh?

You can freeze them, but not so easily.
You can chop them up and use as marshmellows in any recipe. You can also chop them up and freeze them; toss in a touch of powdered sugar/cornstarch to keep them from sticking. Lovely pink marshmellow bits in brownies, etc. :)

Peeps are only good stale, like twizzlers, and cheetos
Otherwise, they are good for throwing at the jays that divebomb my little kitty (not the big kitty, just the little one). They were attacking her in groups last year everytime she came outside to sit in the yard with us. And they are noisy! Poor kitty hid under our chairs - they even came in the tent after her.

Microwave them!
10-15 seconds (by eye).
You get Giant Peeps!
Don't microwave too long though, or leave them uneaten too long after the cooking, unless you're looking for a more effective glue than superglue.
Use them anywher you'd use marshmallows.
Rice Krispie Peeps treats, popcorn balls, etc.
Make your own PEEP VILLAGE!!...lol I would freeze them, too.
Or here ya go...
