I just signed up on Hannaford's website and ordered my scanning number. I was very excited to see that they have Catalina's......I never knew. Used to shop at Shaw's but I'm going to give Hannaford's a try after I saw how much cheaper their regular prices are.

Do we know, or have, anywhere on this site the coupon policy for Hannaford's? I would be most appreciative if anyone has it.

I was informed that their company head quarters hasn't sent the individual stores a coupon policy but empowers each store to set their's individually. I'm in the midst of composing an email to HQ itself to try to answer specific questions on coupons rather than just asking if they have a policy as someone else has. (They were told the same thing I was from the store.)

Actually their coupon policy, although vague, is posted @ Hannaford.com. Just click on their FAQ's tab and scroll down to the bottom.


Hannaford Coupon Acceptance Policy
We want our customers to get the best value in our stores and encourage them to utilize coupons to save on their groceries. Unfortunately, because we are seeing an increase in counterfeit coupons, we have found it necessary to institute a coupon acceptance policy.
We do not accept coupons that:

• Appear to have been photocopied
• Have expired or are missing an expiration date
• Do not have a UPC scan bar, or do not scan
• Have been identified as fraudulent by the manufacturer

Additionally, coupons with high dollar amount discounts off original retail value will be reviewed by store management.
Store management has final discretion in accepting, denying or limiting the use of any coupon presented. Unfortunately, because we are not always able to ascertain which coupons are legitimate and which are not, we will encounter times that our policy might prohibit some customers from redeeming valid coupons. We certainly regret any inconvenience or frustration this causes.

Thank you for finding that, I have no idea how I missed it! I must admit that their site annoys me a bit. It is pretty much what we already knew after all.
