--update on post 1 GOOD news!--Im so disgusted with myself I think I am going to be SICK!!!!!!

Update: After washing then putting shout on the shirt and rewashing by itself and adding bleach to my wash ALL the stain came out!!

Thank goodness!


Last week of May I Bought DS a brand new pair of jean bibs and a onesie with construction theme - not sure what line it is but anyway it was cute and on the memorial day sale.

Well we went out of town/state job hunting the last few days of May and I packed everything I bought from that line and one other one so when he got something on him it would be an easy fix just change one piece. Well the bibs and onesie didnt get worn and I **thought** they were in the suit case.

Then DS got sick was in the hospital then we ALL got really sick and havent left the house at all then my dad was in the hospital with what we all had but also had to have a heart cath b/c his beat was irregular and has just had an awful time of it. So, long story short the suit case never got unpacked and neither did the car.

Well weve felt a little more decent the past couple days and DH went out and started cleaning out the car this morning. So, I get dressed to go make sure he doesnt toss all my coupons I havent touched in forever.

And laying on the deck is the NEW with tags outfit mentioned above. I was like oooo he can wear that today..WRONG. While we were out of town that few days I was really sick to my stomach so I got a small bottle of pepto at giant eagle. Well it got stuck in the diaper bag that had yep you guessed it the infamous outfit in it.

The lid wasnt on good and it leaked all over the outfit and then sat in the hot trunk for nearly a month.
there is just one large pink spot on the white onesie but the bibs are just covered and its thick and crusted and everywhere.

I could seriously just cry!

Its in the washer now doing a prewash so it will losen up the mess to where I can even work on it.

Any suggestions on getting it out????????

I feel like such an idiot! I cant believe I did that. Im gonna be sick and I dont even have any pepto -- hey Im not ready to laugh yet!

I say this because I already know that but we dont have much extra $ and whenever we do it goes to clothes for the little guy when he needs them. Ill be wearing jeans all summer because Ive outgrown my capri pants , we dont buy for ourselves ever and the one luxury I get is being able to buy him nice clothes when they are on sale at gymboree....

Try soaking Shout on the stain before and then maybe try washing it in OxiClean. I have gotten out the craziest stains this way (ketchup, car grease, blood, ink)!

oh man that SUX I'm so sorry!!! My only suggestion would be to douse it with shout or something like that and just let it sit for a couple days. Thats usually what I do and for the most part the stains come out..

try soaking in Dawn dish soap, I have gotten lots of weird stuff out with that.

Maybe try baking soda, club soda, that Tide stick, oxiclean.

What ever you do, don't dry it until you get the stain out. Drying it may set it FOREVER!!

-I use oxyclean on our gymbo and it gets EVERYTHING out!

- Google "Biz boil". Several mommies on a gymbo board swear by it for really bad stains.

- Don't use the color remover stuff. I have read about bad results with it.

I put shout on the shirt before putting it in but dumby me put it and the shorts in together so now the shorts look fine the shirt on the other hand looks ruined it has pink spots everywhere! SO I re shouted it and put in with some detergent and bleach.
I dont have any oxi clean but I really really think I need to get some.
I do have dawn so I will try that next. ... matter of fact Ive got a couple other shirts Ive been trying to keep wet until I get to my moms she has some magical stuff she uses so Ill soak those in the dawn too. And then maybe whatever the stuff mom has will work if that doesnt.
Would you believe I dont have baking soda either? Martha Stewart I am not lol
I threw my tide stick out after it ruined my white shirt :(

What do I do if I spill Pepto-Bismol and it leaves a stain? * For carpet stains, please note: If your carpet has a manufacturer's warranty, you need to contact the manufacturer for their stain removal instructions before you attempt to remove the stain. The manufacturer can refuse to honor the warranty if you use something other than what they recommend. Pepto-Bismol Liquid Staining * If the carpet does not have a stain warranty, proceed with the following recommendations. The stain should be treated as promptly as possible. The stain should be blotted with a cloth (e.g., a white cotton towel or white paper towel) that has been dipped in warm water (100°F). Continue blotting until the stain is no longer transferring to the cloth. DO NOT RUB STAIN. Rubbing spreads the stain and makes it penetrate deeper into the carpet. Any remaining stain should be treated with hydrogen peroxide. Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain and blot (DO NOT RUB) the area with a clean, white cloth. Rinse cloth often in cool water and continue blotting until no further stain can be removed. Unfortunately, you probably won't get the stain out completey.
