Rebate FAQ WORK in progress.
Q. What is the effective difference between MIR & TMF?
A. It's all in the marketing strategy (in other words just in the wording!) A TMF shouts out a little louder only because you are going to get the product for free* (*unless for example you buy a product for more than what the up to value is) and it has a greater chance of being a money maker, since most companies don't subtract the value of the coupon used from your purchase price. (like everything else, there are exceptions to the norm!)
With a MIR, chances are you're not going to recoup the entire purchase price of an item. (Examples are $5.00 rebate/$10.00 minimum purchase required; $2.00 rebate on a product that retails for $5.99; etc.)
Q. Where do I find Rebate Forms?
A. Newspaper Inserts, Store Customer Service Desk, Store Displays, Magazines, Internet
Q. How do I complete the offer?
A. Follow the rebate instructions to the letter. Be prepared to have purchases rung up separately if the rebate calls for the original receipt. TIP: Keep good records!! At a minimum make copies of the form, CRT and UPCs. You can discard this after you receive your refund check.
