1. CURRENT REBATE FORUM POSTING GUIDELINES

A. Do a search to ensure the rebate you are posting is not already in the Forum. If it is not, please post it using the following guidelines.

B. Add the rebate offer to the Coupon Database (again do a search before adding to avoid dupliate entry). Use this icon in your post so MOD knows it's been added to the DB



C. TITLE Format

(1) Current Offers

exp date in mm/dd/yy format

printable (if it is)

NFN (if no form needed)

type of offer (TMF, MIR, Satisfaction Guarantee)

product to buy

value of rebate

2. REBATE ARCHIVES GUIDELINES
A. Forum is for discussion of posted EXPIRED rebates only. You can discuss problems or report when you received the offer.

B. Offers will be permanently deleted four months after exp date.

C. No NEW rebates are to be posted in the archives.

3. Indexed Stickies FYI only (locked topics)

A. Current offers (indexed)
Index of all current offers that have a post in the Gimme My Money Back Forum sorted by expiration date.

B. Expired offers (indexed) Four Stickies: one for each of the last four months of expired offers which have a post in the Rebates Archive Subform. Rebates with exp date of four months or older are permanently deleted.

**Please note that you may not offer coupons for trade, ask for coupons, or indicate that you have extras for trade in your post. Trades are to be conducted in the trading forums only.

Q. What is the effective difference between MIR & TMF?

A. It's all in the marketing strategy (in other words just in the wording!) A TMF shouts out a little louder only because you are going to get the product for free* (*unless for example you buy a product for more than what the up to value is) and it has a greater chance of being a money maker, since most companies don't subtract the value of the coupon used from your purchase price. (like everything else, there are exceptions to the norm!)

With a MIR, chances are you're not going to recoup the entire purchase price of an item. (Examples are $5.00 rebate/$10.00 minimum purchase required; $2.00 rebate on a product that retails for $5.99; etc.)

Q. Where do I find Rebate Forms?
A. Newspaper Inserts, Store Customer Service Desk, Store Displays, Magazines, Internet

Q. How do I complete the offer?
A. Follow the rebate instructions to the letter. Be prepared to have purchases rung up separately if the rebate calls for the original receipt.


TIP: Keep good records!! At a minimum make copies of the form, CRT and UPCs. You can discard this after you receive your refund check.

I have a question on how to print a rebate form. When I go into the link a screen comes on saying that the site might not be a safe site to download. Then it has if I want to open or save. When I save it to a folder and I try to go in , nothing happens. I know that it probably a security program on my computer. So what do I do to print them up right? Can someone help me.

does it happen with pdf files or other type ?

i'm not a computer expert so really don't know how to advise you.

I don't save it I just open it. I don't know if it's right or wrong but I've never had a problem opening things.

I have anti spy ware and anti virus ware on my computer.
I don't even know if this will help.

is for MOD use *ONLY* and indicates the offer has been recorded in both the coupon data base and the appropriate sticky.
