| Re: Giant/SuperG Contact and General Information I have never been to Giant, but live in DC and there is one next to my house. Is it a quality store? How does it compare to a Harris Teeter or Safeway? |

| IS Martins the same as Giant? I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask!
I'm trying to help my mom in WV with her grocery budget. She shops at Martins, but I cant find a seperate forum. Do the Giant threads/ads apply at Martins too?
TIA to anyone who can help!!!

| Re: IS Martins the same as Giant? The company that owned Giant bought Martins several years back, they ended up closing the Martins in Bel Air (MD) because it was too close to the Giant. Something about labor issues, and distances between stores, or something like that.
Anyway, they are the same parent company but I'm not sure if they have the same deals or not. I know the Giant in PA has different deals than the Giant in MD and they are also owned by the same company but operated as different stores. Confusing, eh? |

TIA to anyone who can help!!! | Check the Giant PA forum. Martin's is run in the same division.
As for Giant Landover (the one with the fruit bowl logo), it's run in the same division as Stop & Shop. |

But if I look up the parent company, it comes up Giant. Do you happen to have a Giant Eagle near your Martins? That could also be the case with you.
I am sure someone who knows more and for sure will chime in, but that is to be my understanding, at least here. HTH | We have both here in Frederick, MD (Giant and Giant Eagle) and they are right beside each other. Literally. The back of the Giant is about 50 feet from the front door of the Giant Eagle!
