Giant/SuperG ~ Store Coupon: Four $1 Doubler Coupons in the Giant 10/30 - 11/5 Ad

Ok, so I actually stayed away from Giant for a while because I thought that you had to buy a minimum of $15 after you used your coupons. That is so far from the case! Your bill only needs to be $15 or above period, whatever happens after you use your coupons is your business. Case and point... Last Super Doubles, I bought hot pockets that were on sale for $1.99, I used my dollar Q, plus the doubler Q to get them free. I bought 4 boxes of hot pockets, plus added in some mentos gum (used $.55 Q) and Yakisoba noodles ($.50 Q) which were free after the Qs doubled. So basically, I only bought enough stuff to bring my bill to $15, then after using my Qs, I only paid the tax for the mentos! Whoo Hoo! Love it! Yesterday, I actually got my bill up to $30, and used the Bottom Dollar Q for $10/$30, bought 7 cartons of soymilk and 2 boxes of Fruit Loops and paid $4.00!!

Just a quick reminder--since it has been confirmed on the HT thread that Triples will happen 11/04/09 to 11/10/09--you can use the $1 Doubler Coupons as Competitor Coupons if you shop at HT. Since these are $/$$ Competitor Coupons, HT will take these--YMMV.

Just returned from a quick run to Giant to do the Tombstone deal. Here's how I did it: Bought 4 Tombstone pizzas and a Giant ice cream and a couple of other items, scanned the 4 $1 doublers and 2 Tombstone $1/2 coupons, then scanned my bonus card which took off the price of 2 pizzas and the ice cream. Now to send in for the $10 Tombstone rebate. Great deal!

Will the doublers work on a coupon that is $1.25? I don't expect it to actually double to $2.50, but will it "double" to $2 off?

When I was at the store I grabbed some extra ad's to get more doublers, unfortunatley they didn't contain any! Were they only in the ad's they mailed out?

Also, did anbody notice the misprint? Mine said "Giant" at the top but in the small print they said only good for use at "Stop & Shop"!

Tombstone rebate? Tell me more. I thought it was a good deal already for 4 pizzas and ice cream for only $6.

I'm thinking they were....I got mine in the paper (2 of them) and my mom gave me hers from her paper. I grabbed a couple in the store and those didn't have the doublers! I need to find 2 more sets to finish the deals I want to do!

I tried to use those at HT last time Giant had these doublers. They gave a hard time. The cashier has to call the manager, and the lady had confusion about $15. I explained how it works at Giant. She did not know how to handle those. Another lady came, and said your total has to be $15 after all manf coupons and doublers etcc. Finally they gave it to me to make me happy. I told them they don't have to make me happy and they can't with that $4 right :))

So I just told them follow the policy, you don't have to make me happy. She said we only take $/$$ coupons and not these doublers stuff.

Yep, AFAIK, the doublers are only in the mailed out ads. I 'think' they may also be in the ads that come in the newspaper (if you get daily paper), but not sure on that.

Yes, I noticed that too! But it is not too surprising since Giant and Stop & Shop are sister companies (part of the same chain).

I got two 2-liter bottles of Orange Crush soda free -- it's on sale for $1 this week, and the $1/2 insert coupon makes it free when doubled.

Also, I managed a moneymaker with various Ziploc bags on sale for $2. I bought three and doubled a $1/2 home mailer coupon, which brought the price down to $4 for 3. Will be submitting it for the $5 SC Johnson rebate! Would still be a moneymaker with the various $1.50/2 coupons out there.

Other discoveries: One of the Starkist tuna salad ready-for-sandwich pouches has a regular price of $1.50, making it free after the .75/1 coupon is doubled.
