The sign states the same policy that is on their website. Specifically, the part you're referring to states:
"We reserve the right to limit one (1) double coupon per same coupon per day, per customer"
And the State College store in Northland center is enforcing it as I had a run in with a total jerk(not the cashier but whoever was in charge) there last Wednesday.
I had 2 freebie coupons, had 2 items(the second said needed key) so whoever was in charge came over and he told me I couldn't use both because it's one like coupon per person, per day. He did put it through(and only because the cashier wrote on it already) but told me not to use multiple of the same coupon per day again because it won't be allowed. And then he sited that sign..
I even said something to him because my take on those words are that multiple like coupons should be allowed per day so long as no doubling is involved(like BOGO coupons or $2+ valued etc) and he said nope, ALL coupons, period. Um if that's the case, why even put the word 'double' in the sentence. Just say 'one like coupon, per person, per day and this includes BOGO, Free item coupons etc"
I emailed customer service about the issue so I could get clarification on the policy. Someone called me back to inquire as to what exactly I needed to know and what happened with the freebie coupons. She said she would contact the store and call me back. She never did as of yet...
Personally, I just think they want to stop people from doing multiple transactions back to back, using the same coupons so they can all double. I have no issue with them doing that as I don't typically do that.
Hopefully customer service gets back to me about this because I have lots of coupons $2+ and BOGO etc that I'd like to use but now am afraid to use multiples at once :( |

I used 6 of the $1/1 Jell-o singles coupons at the one on College Ave and three at the other one w/o a problem today. I just assumed it meant the ones they DOUBLED not ANY coupon. I guess it depends on who's on duty when you go. I have a fave at the College Ave store and one at the other one. I never have trouble using coupons when I go to them. I ALWAYS try to go to their lines, I hate when they aren't working! LOL

You can use multiples of the same coupons, no matter what type they are, so long as you are aware that if doubling is involved, only the first like will double.
Also the official word on using coupons on BOGO sales is that the free item doesn't count. So if something is BOGO in a store sale and you have a $1/2 coupon, you must purchase 4 items to use the coupon.
She also told me that she would explain again to all cashiers/employees about what that part of the coupon policy means and that if I had anymore troubles to go to customer service and ask for her and she would take care of it. | I figured it would be a matter of time till the "cracked" down on the people who do multiple transactions. I just hope they don't stop doubling completely at the end of the year like the rumor I heard. |

Glad I'm not in your area! Even the cashiers here, will tell you to put them on seperate orders to avoid the only doubling 1 rule. Especially since each transaction is considered a *new* customer, when they do their books.

You can use multiples of the same coupons, no matter what type they are, so long as you are aware that if doubling is involved, only the first like will double. Here we have a limit of 'only the 1st one of each kind gets doubled', but we also have a limit of '4 like Qs', so the other three won't get doubled. So lots of people do multiple transactions.
Also the official word on using coupons on BOGO sales is that the free item doesn't count. So if something is BOGO in a store sale and you have a $1/2 coupon, you must purchase 4 items to use the coupon. DH agrees w/ me, and we both wonder if that is 'legal'? I wonder how the manufacturer's feel about them refusing to honor the Q, when the store has already agreed to give us the one for free???
She also told me that she would explain again to all cashiers/employees about what that part of the coupon policy means and that if I had anymore troubles to go to customer service and ask for her and she would take care of it. |
