Default Re: Any problems at Giant using Q's?

I e-mailed a complaint to Giant regarding their new coupon policy. I don't understand their thinking when they have more competition in the Hbg. area (Wegman's and Weis). Why would they choose to limit coupons now?

I feel they are very stingy about coupon usage, but I like their gas points program,so I go there rather than Redners.

guess I'll be buying many multiple orders of one item each.

Giant is the ONLY store in my area that has a restriction like this. Some stores will only double 4 like coupons--a more reasonable limit if one were necessary. Other stores have NO limit.

I'm finding that Giant is a great store WHEN IT FIRST OPENS. Give it 2 years and then it falters badly unfortunately
My store has had the only doubling the first same coupon for over 1 year now. Internet coupons were just allowed again in January or February of this year (no IP's since the Dove soap fiasco).

Everyweek I will do mulitple small orders and my regular shopping at one time due to the only doubling 1 same coupon rule and the cost of gas (my Giant is 20mi from my home and I can't afford to make several trips per week). There are several Weis and a Wegman's in the area, I too don't understand Giant's strict coupon policy.

At my Giant in Dubois, it will only double one like Q's such as only one Scott toilet paper would double if you were buying 5, also they are not accepting Internet Q's over a $1. I have not tried a BOGO on BOGO sale yet to find out if they will accept those coupons, but they do allow you to use two coupons for a BOGO sale

I'm from the State collage and Dubois Pa area. And Martins and Gaint have always had the policy that they only double one same like coupon in one order so I just do multiples! But somtimes you can get lucky and the cashier will double them anyway. Bi-lo takes 4 of the same like coupons in one order! But I dont really care for thier prices :(

#2- yup i encountered this for the first time tonight. Mad i was!

I even said to the cashier & the CSR that it made no sense that i couldn't have the stuff double up all my multiple coupons BUT if i did seperate transactions that it would. How do they make sense of that?

I'll stand in line and ring out each product individually if it means i get to double my coupons for those things.

THe store has plenty of competition here as well, so i don't understand why they are being so 'stingy' w/ coupon doubling.

I noticed at the registers in State College they have a little paper about limiting ONE like coupon doubled per person per day. It doesn't say they ARE doing that, but that they have the right to. I look for them to start enforcing that pretty soon, though.

I live 30 miles from State College. I go over at least once a week (except lately, there was a death in my family so I've put couponing on hold for a little bit). I only ever do one order.
