    Hi All:

I am a total newbie at all this.

I don't understand how some of this are MM or even break even.

    12 cans veggies x $1 each = .40 off gal of gas

My tank = 14 gal dead empty ...so $5.60 cents would put the veggies at $6.40 if no other coupons or .53 a can..

How is this a money maker...are we assuming someone can get a ton more gas than I can? Am I missing something?

Now lets take the mashed potatoes. Those are .79 x 12 = $9.48 so minus gas saving 5.60 = 3.88 or .32 cents each.

I am a little fuzzy on the bonus points...but I get the for every dollar spent = 1 point. With 100 points you get an additional .10 off a gal of gas. If you earn double points...this still would only be about 24 points....still far from a MM.

Now if you have coupons...I can see where this is going..but I am lost otherwise.

    Newb,
Welcome to the Giant PA forum

When we figure out gas deals, most of us use the whole 30 gallons. Fill up the vehicle and then gas cans. I do realize that some people don't have gas cans or don't have a place to store them, and in that case it would not be a MM. So if you do not use the whole 30 gallons, then you figured it out perfectly below, and would have to decide for yourself if it's a good deal or not.
There are a few stores (in VA, I believe) that will only allow you to get 25 gallons total, so check with your store to see what the limit is.
If you don't have gas cans and have a place to store them, I highly recommend purchasing some cans and maximizing your savings!

So for the veggies 12 cans @ $1 = $12 Get back $12 with gas
    So you break even.

    Speedstick deodorant 4@ $2.00 = $8.00 use (2) B1G1 q's = $4.00
    $8.00 - $4.00 = $4.00 and get back $6.00 in gas $2 MM!!!!
(there are also $1/2 coupons for Speedstick which would break even)

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask

    Sorry..but have another question...

If I buy 24 of an item on the 12 for $.40 cents list...can I get .80 cents off?

Is there a limit to this?
