I was browing the aisles at Giant today and scored some great deals. They are clearancing a lot of items!!!

Chinet salad and side bowls $1.31 used $2 q = free
All small & Mighty (certain varieties) $2.49 use $2 q = .49
Kelloggs corn Flakes with Honey $1.31 used $1/1 IP = .31

I also saw they had Wisk detergent clearanced for $3.xx
some other Chinet items, Kelloggs frozen waffle type items.
The cashier told me that they were working in the garbage bag area at that moment so I'm not sure what all items there will be clearanced.

So if you have a moment, walk each aisle and see what you can score.

My Giant had the 32 load Snuggle Sweet Almond and Jojoba scents clearanced down to $1.94 and I was able to use the $2/1 Snuggle coupon with no problem, I even got the overage. I just wish the coupons didn't expire 1/10/10 so I could try to get some more but I will settle for what I got I guess.

Small Step napkins 250 count reclosable packs were $1.31 so 31c p/pack after coupon (if you have the insert Q) OR.... I saw blinkies for 55c DND9 but there maybe some around w/ DND5 IDK

in the clearance section:

Baby Mylicon 1/2 oz & 1oz sizes: 1.62& 2.72 respectively. The bigger size has $10 in coupons inside...two of which are good for $1 off any mylicon so you can buy the big one and get the little one for .62!!!

Powdered store brand baby formula (large size cans) clearanced to $4.40/can! I do not know what type it was, but i recall a light purple lid.

I got two packs of the Chinet side/salad bowls last week and was going to get two more this week. When I went yesterday the clearance tags were down even though there are still four or five packs left. Is it likely that the tag just got taken down accidentally? Or do they ever "un-clearance" an item?

If your store has a scanner, then scan them. We have 2 Giants here and often one won't have the clearance marked but it is marked down. The ticket may have fallen or something.
AFAIK, they don't "un-clearance" but they often take and move the left over clearance items to a discount rack and put a clearance sticker on it (mine does anyway) and then it can be a pain to use coupons on, depending on the store and sometimes the clearance rack price will be higher than the clearanced shelf price.
My stores generally only mark the racked stuff down 1/2 of the normal shelf price, but sometimes the clearance price on the shelf is lower.


Example: The cake pans and cookie sheets with the mix and spatula, were marked down to $2.49 after Christmas on the display shelf. The next week they were on the discounted rack for $4.99.
So, scan those puppies!!!

Oh, I wish we had a scanner! I've never noticed one, and I'm pretty sure I would have seen it. Maybe I'll just put them in my cart and ask for them to void them off if they ring up at full price. I hate to be a pain like that, but we really could use them for my kids' upcoming birthday parties so I may as well at least try! Thanks for answering my question. And that is weird that the price sometimes actually goes UP when the item goes to the clearance rack!

My Giant had a few select Turkey Hill Ice Creams on clearance for half price today.

The ones I saw were...

Light Banana Split $1.74

Duos Movie night (popcorn/vanilla caramel) $1.74

There might have been more but those are the ones they had left.

So after coupons it came down to $.74 each. The coupons I had were for the Duos and Light from home mailers and/or calander.

They used to have 2 green scanners in that store (in different aisles) but, they didn't put them back in after they remodeled. A good bit of the time they didn't work anyway so...
