Did you know we're not allowed to use coupons on Bonus Buy items?

I never knew this, so I've been breaking the rules for years...
I stopped before work to get the All detergent 2 for $7 Must Buy 2. I had two of the $1.75/1 All coupons from a few weeks ago. I went through UScan and when I scanned my first coupon it beeped. The cashier checked to make sure that it was the right size of 32 load or larger (it was) and then she told me that any time an item is on Bonus Buy that the coupon will beep because you're not allowed to use coupons on Bonus Buy items but that she would override it for me. I just nodded like "ohhhhh"-it was early and I didn't feel like arguing but I thought of all of you and how you'd enjoy hearing this. I think all of us here are on the same mission to match our coupons to the best sale prices.
My only question-where on earth does Giant find these people????

You need to shop my Giant. My favorite cashier checks my cart to make sure I've gotten all the deals. And there is NO mention of not being allowed to coupons.

That sounds like a load of manure. Kind of like what I got about not using 2 like internet Qs. I aught to start selling this crap and making $ on it!! LOL

If things simmer down for me later in the week, I will get my letter created to them about their Q policy. They have so many stinking rules that I think they make up as they go. Stinking, manure??? I must have a theme today!

YOU ARE allowed to use coupons on bonus buys and clearance items and probably everything in the store. I have never heard of such a thing and if I were you, I would have gone to the service desk and asked (or reported the woman for letting you use a coupon on a bonus buy when she wasn't supposed to. LOL)

Oh, I know she was wrong and didn't know what she's talking about. I just thought I'd share this with all of you so that you all could get a good laugh. And this wasn't some young kid either-it was a woman in her 40's or 50's. Like I said, where does Giant find these people???

She probably got fired from the store where you can only use one coupon on 4 items, not 4 coupons, because the coupon says one per purchase.

The REAL issue is Giant has a new UScan policy. Pretty much EVERY STINKING COUPON WILL BEEP because they want their cashiers to check them before you scan and "hide". What a wonderful purpose UScan has now, huh? SOOOOOOOOO much quicker NOT.
