QUESTION A few questions about Giant...

Now that I am getting the hang of shopping, I am going to start shopping at Giant this week. I do have a few questions & couldn't find a post with the answers in it here. :(

    1) I don't have a bonus card yet, can I still print Giant coupons from thier site or do I need to go get a bonus card & then purchase? (HUGE inconvience since I don't have a car & use public transportation.

2)Does Giant double coupons every day? If so what is the max double? Is it up to $1? More? Also I think I read that you can only double once per transaction? Is that really true?

3)Can you use a manufactor coupon & a Giant coupon on the same product?

4)Anything else I should know to make the most out of it? Hubby still thinks that I'm wasting money. He said yea you got a lot of stuff for free but you also spent $15 on stuff that we normally wouldn't buy. (ie good shampoo instead of VO5 or body wash instead of cheap bar soap).

Here is the link to Giant PA GIANT Food Stores you can fill out a form for a bonus card @ your store and it will work immediatly (according to the site) Different stores have different policies on doubling, so you have to check with the individual store. I checked your profile, to see which stores you might shop @ and I noticed you are from NC. Giant pa has no stores in NC, so maybe you need to post this in Giant/Super G or Giant Eagle. They are totally different stores. Good luck and happy doubling.

Yea I read the coupon policy. It didn't really answer my questions. Im probably not going to shop at Giant now. Its a pain for me to go all the way there, get the bonus card & then come all the way home to print the coupons. I live in PA now. I didn't update my profile. Thanks for your help. Hopefully someone else can answer my other questions as well.
    Thanks!

The only coupons that I can find on their website are the same ones as SmartSource, so you wouldn't need a bonus card to get on and print them. Just go here: https://www.giantfoodstores.com/shar...savings/IC.cfm and then print the coupons to take with you. It takes 2 seconds to get your bonus card, they just take your license and put in your info.

    1) I don't have a bonus card yet, can I still print Giant coupons from thier site or do I need to go get a bonus card & then purchase? (HUGE inconvience since I don't have a car & use public transportation. Yes, you can print them without a coupon at the website I put up top.

2)Does Giant double coupons every day? If so what is the max double? Is it up to $1? More? Also I think I read that you can only double once per transaction? Is that really true? Yes, they double them every day. They will double anything up to $1. And you can only double one coupon for each item, so say you got 2 bottles of Snuggle, and used 2 $1 off coupons. You would only get the first one doubled to $2 off, the 2nd would just be $1 off.

3)Can you use a manufactor coupon & a Giant coupon on the same product? This one I'm not too sure on, as I'm kinda new myself. I know that all the Catalinas that print out all say Manufacturers Coupon right on them, so I don't think that would work, and I'm not aware of where to find actual Giant store coupons, so I can't help too much.

I don't really have any good tips, but I only get the "good" shampoos or whatever item it is if it ends up being the same price or cheaper than the usual generic version that I use. And if you find yourself getting coupons for things you don't think you will use, you could always trade them on here for ones that you would.

I use the one in State College, PA....and I know they can all have a difference in their policies, so I would still double check with your local store too. Good luck!

My three local Giant's only double 1 Q per transaction/per item up to $.99. One of the reasons I've started doing more shopping at ACME.

As for stacking Q's, most of the "Giant" coupons are also MFQ's. They do have $2 off Meat and $5 off Deli Q's that you can use with MFQ's.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I've seen very few Giant coupons other than the one or two monthly ones. During the first week of the month, Giant emails two coupons like $2 off a $5 meat or produce purchase or $1 off a specific Giant brand product. I'm sure you can find links to these somewhere. They usually expire around the third week of the month.
You can stack these with a manufacturer coupon. For example, if you bought $5 worth of Oscar Mayer hot dogs you could use any OM coupons in addition to the Giant $2/$5 meat purchase coupon.
I don't know where you'll be shopping, but the Weis and Wegmans stores around here in the Lehigh Valley will accept those Giant coupons.

As far as convincing hubby. . . just wait until you have a really super trip. Display everything for him and ask him to guess how much you paid. You might even prompt him by telling him the shelf price.
