Default Oscar Meyer & gas deal

In my area, you can get an additional 20¢ off your gallon of gas when you purchase 8 participating products. Oscar meyer hot dogs are one of them. However, oscar meyer hot dogs are also on sale bogo.......Has anybody purchased 1, got one free and got credit for the 2?

It would be worth it to stock up on the hot dogs if it works.

Yes, it's on page 3 of the ad, that I posted.
I'm not sure which scenario I'm doing yet. I'm alread swimming in OM hot dogs-got 12 packs BOGO last night for the HP ticket deals.

Great Question. I've seen it go either way, on other deals, so I'm not sure which way it will work.

What's the verdict on this one? I'm especially interested in Lehigh Valley stores.

I think this is one, where someone will have to 'test the waters' to know, for sure.

Re: Oscar Meyer & gas deal

I am not sure on the verdict, however, this can be a great deal for those of you that have gas at your Giant. In the 6/15 SS there was a Q for $1/2 OM Hot dogs. If you have nothing else to use your $1 doublers on, buy 8 packages of hot dogs for $12 (bogo), then use your $1 doublers and get another $8 off, spending about $4 for 8 packs of hot dogs and if it does give you credit for buying 8 get $.20 off a gallon of gas.

Here is another scenario, using the $1 doublers and some of the 8 items you need to buy, 2 OM hot dogs $2.99, A-1 Marinade $2, Kraft Singles, $2.50,3-McCormicks Grill Mates $.80@, 2-Kraft Salad dressing $1. Total is $11.89, minus $1 Q on OM Hot Dogs, $1 q on A-1 Marinade, Free Kraft singles Q $2.50, $1.00 Q McCormick grill mates, and $1.00 Q on kraft salad dressing. Total of Q's and 4 $1 doublers is $1.39. You could even get it down to $.89 total if you have $1.00/2 McCormicks grill mates and $.25 off 1 McCormicks grill mates. Plus if you have the tearpad Q for $1.00 off produce when you buy 2 kraft salad dressing makes it even better. So for $1.39 you are getting all of the above, plus $.20 off a gallon of gas. Not to bad.

The q's are
Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs $1/2 6/15 SS
A-1 Marinade $1/2 6/15 SS
Free Kraft Singles 6/22 Parade magazine
McCormick Grill Mates $.25/1 or $1/2 5/4 RP (I was using 3 $.25, one doubled the other at $.25)
Kraft salad dressing 6/15 SS.

The free kraft singles requires you to buy 3 other items, which you already are buying, oscar mayer and A1 are two of your choices.

Now I just wish I had a Giant with gas near me.

HTH.

Default Re: Oscar Meyer & gas deal

I did go and get 4 packs of o.m. hot dogs and 4 jars of pickles, and I did get my 200 gas points for it.

I think I need another card ! There are enough things that I can get cheap on this deal to get totally free gas..(since dh and dd consider ketchup a food group)..but then what am I going to do for the rest of the month??

I think I just figured something out....dh paid $87 to fill his truck up the other day, and that was for like 21 gallons......ok....the vlassic pickles are $1.50 each and using the $1 printable, that makes it 50¢ each. For $1 off a gallon of gas, I would need 40 jars of pickles, at $20. For $4 off a gallon of gas.....thats $80 for 160 jars of pickles!............and would still be cheaper than what he paid the other day!

hmmm.....too bad they're in glass jars and I can't sell them on ebay!
