Dole Fruit Jars up to $1 1/6-1/26

I bought 4 Dole Fruit Jars on sale for $3 today using the 75/1 coupons and got a $1 catalina back. Wasn't expecting a catalina back and can't find this cat deal on the G.Eagle Weekly or Monthly Rewards, and don't see it on CouponNetwork/Catalina. On the $1 cat i got today it says:

While checking my inventory of Dole fruit jars for this sale, I was horrified to find out that the peaches and fruit cocktail are products of China. Maybe other varieties are as well. WTH! Don't we grow peaches etc. Here?

Do you have an Aldi near you? Their "Fit & Active" (extra light syrup) cans of sliced peaches are 29 oz. for $1.29 - and stamped on the bottom of the can is From the USA. Dole is 24.5 oz.

Yes Marrelam, I have an Aldi close by. I'm in Strongsville. I love their Fit and Active stuff and am glad it's a product of the USA. I guess I just assumed ALL our fruit and vegetables were! Thanks!

Wow, who knew about the Dole peaches not being a product of the USA. I have a Aldi near me and it will be worth the trip. I just bought 10 of those coupons but you can rest assured I'll buy no more. For shame Dole.

Thank you for the information. I never thought to check to see where the fruit was from since it was a Dole product. I just assumed that fruit would be USA.

From what i read, the irony is that you might find other brands that have on the label, 'made in usa', BUT that only pertains to the actual 'fruit' being 'grown/packaged on usa soil'. It doesn't account for all the say pesticides, fertilizers, machinery, etc. used to grow the fruit, or the paper, labels, ink, packaging materials, etc. etc. etc. to package it that might come from china for that brand of fruit to make it to your supermarket.
