Default Coupon Policies in Central Ohio area

The Powell Rd./Sawmill Rd. area store told me they will only accept 4 like coupons. They have signs up that they only double 4 like coupons and super double 2 like coupons. Doubling policies I'm fine with. It's the non-doubling that I can't believe.

I couldn't believe they would only take 4 like coupons, even if they are not doubling, ie. the item costs $1 and the coupon is for $1.

Is this common? Or should I visit another store?

I guess I haven't come across this scenario before to learn this or was my cashier/manager just clueless? They kept pointing to the "doubling policies" sign, even though I kept clarifying my coupons didn't need to double.

They did let me split them into 2 orders, but it was such a headache. Especially when I have a raincheck good for 8 items. Grrrrrrrrrrr!:mad6:

I can confirm the same policy for the following Central Ohio stores:

Powell (High St)
Sawmill/Bethel (Upper Arlington)
High St (north of OSU in Clintonville)
Grandview (5th and Grandview)
Rt 161 & Busch Blvd
Hamilton & Morse (Gahanna)
Hilliard-Rome Rd
(the rest I just don't go too often enough to know for sure)
Afaik, the U-scans don't have the like-coupon-limit programmed in. They do have another limit programmed, however, that requires cashier intervention once coupons go over some percentage of the total order value. I think it's 30 or 50%, but I keep forgetting to pay attention to be certain.

Thanks Tracy! Wow! I can't believe I haven't run into this before. Glad to know this before I go to another location.

I have had problems at the U Scans, so now I know why too.

Very helpful info. Thanks again!

Default What raincheck quantities do you get?

Follow up question if you want more than 4 items that are OOS. (I actually wanted 40 boxes of tissues, so I got 5 rainchecks for 8 each! I know that's pretty extreme.)

If the limit is 4 like coupons, how do you do rainchecks?

If I have a raincheck for 8 and I have 8 coupons, will they let me use half the raincheck on 2 orders?

They did let me do this today, after I really quetioned the limit 4 rule, anyways. So maybe they were just being nice since my twins were being impatient.

Is the limit of 4 all the time or just during super doubles? I thought I remembered it used to be only SD but that might have changed.

I got the impression it is all the time. Things either changed or it's been YMMV for quite a while.

I can remember using more than 4 alike coupons in the past no problem. It wasn't all that long ago. Hopefully another central Ohio shopper can give us a definite answer.

Columbus-area stores limit to 4 like coupons during regular weeks, and 2 during super doubles.

Not all the central Ohio stores have the same limit. I think those outside the city toward the south and east limit to 6 like normally? I'm in town, though, so can't confirm or deny that.

For rainchecks, the Bethel/Sawmill store said the limit per RC was 4. Gahanna limited me to 2 during SDs, but I've never asked for RCs there during non-SDs.

East Broad in Reynoldsburg/Blacklick area also follows the 4 like coupons and 2 during super doubles. They would not let me separate my transactions. I questioned the $1 coupon and they told me that I couldn't use more than 4 regardless of the amount.
